The kitchen was one of the best we’ve stayed in. Every utensil you’ll ever need. Plenty of “matching” dishes, glassware, nice undamaged pots and pans. Upper deck was great for grilling and stargazing. Comfy bed, with nice linens and pillows. 10 out of 10. One minor thing, if your short, the microwave is a reach, and maybe add a light near grill area.

Perfect location for multifamily stay with kids!

We absolutely loved this property--from the beautiful views off the back deck to the thoughtful touches in the kitchen, living areas and kids play areas, the house itself was amazing for our group of 9. The hot tub was a hit, as well as the games, toys and cozy blankets and pillows. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen, with numerous appliances and tons of storage. Beds were comfortable and there was always plenty of space to spread out. The community itself was a selling point for us--we absolutely loved the creek access and the campground, and we made sure to visit the pool, game room, playground and paddle boats.Great location overall, with the closest grocery store about 20-25 minutes away. The roads are windy and cell coverage is spotty, but we made it work with pre-planning and making sure we grabbed items coming or going from the different outings.

Thanksgiving at powder horn mountain

The cabin was wonderful & we will save it for next time for sure. The whole family enjoyed it, we really appreciated the kids toys that were available for our 2 year old daughter and niece and nephew! Plenty of games and activities to do inside when it got chilly. The kitchen was well stocked for our thanksgiving dinner needs. Thanks for having us!

Clean, comfortable home with everything you need for a relaxing visit

Home was clean and exactly as stated on the listing. We used the pool, fitness room, and enjoyed time at the cabin playing games & grilling out. We would definitely come back!

Gorgeous View from the Cabin

We loved the cabin and the location. The comm3nts online were all accurate. While it is about 20 mins from Boone, everything is easily accessible and the stay was wonderful! Great cabin. We will certainly be back!

Great stay

We loved our stay at this cabin. It felt very remote, and had amazing view. We enjoyed the hiking trails throughout the community, and the snacks/drinks provided by the host were such a thoughtful touch.

HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO MAKE THIS BIRTHDAY TRIP FOR OUR 88 YEAR OLD MOM ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS ! SHE JUST LOVED THE DEER, SITTING ON THE DECK , WATCHING THE STARS AND THE MANY GAMES WE PLAYED .. SHE IS THE MASTER AT RUMMY ! .. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS HOUSE .. LAYOUT IS GREAT.. Hidden Gem in the Mountains

This cabin was just perfect for our party of 7. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. Our kiddos loved the bunk beds and basement room to get away and relax. The view of the stars at night was just beautiful. Although it is a little drive off the main road (approx 20 min) in the day it's is not bad. Us out of towners were a little intimidated at night but it's not a horrible drive. Overall we had an amazing time and even loved the day the fog came in. We felt like we were in the clouds. We also liked how much there is to do in the community itself like hiking and games in the community center. Book it you will not regret it!

Way too far out for us - be sure not to arrive at night!

First… the good: Beautiful makeover of a 90’s (my guess) house. Open floor plan in the den….beautiful view out the windows. If you’re planning on staying in Deep Gap or around the house… it would he great. Great patio/outside area. If you’re like us and GO during the day… you would likely be better off some other place. The upstairs bed was comfy. The downstairs bed was comfy although low to the ground. Great kids room. We arrived at night. When I say PITCH dark… I mean DARK! The house if down a VERY winding road…about 20 min off the main road. You are 2.1 miles from the house once you get to the gate of the neighborhood. The house is at the VERY end of the neighborhood. The house is not well marked by the road and there wasn’t a single light on. Of any sort. I don’t think I’ve ever rented with ZERO lights on. We can see well at night and it was still hard. The light switch inside the door does not turn on the lights inside. Somewhat confusing switches. The upstairs bedroom overhead light would start flashing after it was on for 15-20 min and wouldn’t stop until you turned the light on and off. Overall a good stay but much more fitting for someone not leaving.

Beautiful views!

Wonderful location for a long weekend. The views were incredible. Now I know why the house is called “Starview.” I haven’t seen stars that numerous and bright in years. Well appointed kitchen. Also very simple check-in and check-out processes. Susan was our host. She was responsive and helpful. Thank you, Susan!

Beautiful Cabin

Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Susan’s Cabin. The cabin is decorated so beautifully and provided plenty of room for our family. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view and the quiet nights. Everything we needed the cabin had and Susan was excellent with communication. Loved it!

Mountain Trip

The house was very nice with an amazing view. Great place for a family for the price. The owners were great to work with and responsive to my questions before booking. The cleaning crew didn’t empty the trash bins between our stay and the previous guests. So they were full and we had to make a trip to the County Landfill during the stay. I wouldn’t say this is the owners fault just a misstep by the cleaning team. The cleanliness inside the home was great.

Two week mountain break

We really enjoyed our time at this lovely cabin. The house was clean and neat and well appointed. Communication with the property manager was great. I did not give 5 stars to the location simply because the location is quite far from outside activities.
