Rockhouse hillside retreat

  • Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This 2 bed 2 bath has close access to Buffalo Mtn trail system. It is located a mile and a half from the Hatfield McCoy trail 14. We offer a full stocked kitchen and bathroom. One bedroom has 2 queen beds. The other offers one king bed. There is a twin size trundle bed that sleeps 2. We also offer a queen size air mattress for more than 8 guest staying. Come visit Rockhouse Hillside Retreat and enjoy a peaceful Mountain View.

This place was perfect! Close to trails, restaurants, etc. The house was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed and more. Lynn was very accommodating & answered immediately when we couldn’t get service to access the door code. Highly recommend this property, would definitely stay again!

Stayed to ride ATV (SxS) Trails

Was a clean and comfortable place to stay and ride SxSs.The only thing to watch for is I wouldn't suggest taking a trailer longer than 20', it's just super tight to turn around in. Great place to stay!

Quiet & Relaxing

After long days out on the SXSs it was nice to come back to a peaceful place with privacy. The front porch is covered which is nice when its raining. Everything was clean and cozy.

Rock House Retreat

The Rock House Retreat was a great place to stay while we visited the HM trails. Lynn made it easy to check in, the house was clean when we arrived and the stay was very comfortable. It was also close to Delbarton, so we got to know the locals who were very kind and helpful, it's also close to trail 14 Trail Head which is nice and convenient.

The pictures do not do this place justice! It is cute as can be with an awesome location right off the HM trails. If you are considering visiting the area, do yourself a favor and book Lynn’s place, you won’t regret it!

Very clean and nice

Property was great for our group of 8 guys. The cabin was very clean and ample parking for our 3 trucks and a 17' trailer. Nice to have all the amenities, covered porch, fire pit with wood and a nice grill to cook. Highly recommend this place and will keep this on our list for future stays.

The Perfect Getaway

We planned a trip for Thanksgiving weekend. The experience was top notch- very clean. The property manager was extremely helpful; she provided excellent communication even with our arrival on Thanksgiving day. We would recommend staying at this establishment.

Great location!

It was so nice to be up in the hills as compared to the ATV cabins, we drove past. Quieter, probably a bit cooler and right near the trails. Beds are all very comfy and plenty of bathroom space. We had a fabulous time!!

Loving the Mountains!

We are from lower Alabama, the gulf coast is our main area - we came to WV to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails and WV did not disappoint. The trails were amazing - for both single track and 4-wheeler! Our host was very gracious and helped us on our fist day when we had a slight emergency and was quick to help with any questions. We all have passed on rave reviews for the location and the trails!

Great location

This property was exactly what the listing says. Everything was clean and tidy. Everything you need is on site and in working order. Best of all the site in just minutes from the trails and stores. Had a great stay and definitely recommend to all riders looking for a nice place to stay.
