“Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants”

“Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. Restaurant menu was limited but is being updated and the prices were reasonable, as was the bar. Breakfast was enough to keep you going for the day. Never got to use the pool but looked inviting. “The cabin wasn’t as clean, sofa in cabin was absolutely dirty. Breakfast on both days was shambles, you’ve to queue up for hot breakfast, and the guy serving it Louis wasn’t the nicest, witnessed him being rude to 2 women, however being absolutely fine to others. People of colour are not nice to people of colour!!! Both days no veggie sausages, was told ran out, they just didn’t want to cook them… swimming for kids only 8-10am (same time as breakfast) and 3-5pm!!! We honestly do not recommend...

“No check in information received, when I contacted the host was told ‘it’s not hard it’s left unlocked’ during our stay the host walked past us several times to feed the llamas head down, didn’t even say hello, text to ask how to use the gas fire during our stay and no response, was made to feel very unwelcome. Shame as the shepherds hurt is nice”

“We can see from the hotel that the owners have not long took over. the room was clean and had enough room to move about. The windows need another curtain as we had to pin the middle curtain down to block out the light. The bathroom has be updated .but the shower cubicle could do with an extra clean in the corners . The kettle could do with being put higher as I had to get on my knees to brew up lol. And lastly the bed was very comfy but please add a few more pillows as the ones that were there...

“The house is very dated, the beds were uncomfortable, the rubbish bins outside were overflowing. The listing states a hot tub and the photos show that that’s what drew us to book but upon arrival there wasn’t one ! The staff on the phone were rude when they called to complain about our parking, we wasn’t even in at the time. They didn’t even ask if everything was ok with the stay. Would I recommend it no !”
