“The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I stayed in the bar area to eat, as I'd just had a spa afternoon and knew a dining room would be too hot for me - I found a table next to an open window! A little pricing, but in keeping with the whole place overall. The spa was very warm, as I expect it should be, but a little warm for me as it was a hot day anyway - I'll have to return in winter! Staff were friendly and efficient!”

“Positives: Hotel was clean, loads of parking, staff friendly and helpful. Nice pub on the doorstep. Negatives: Breakfast wasn’t great but it was cheap enough, room was very hot, a bit pricey for what it was but demand was high due to a concert in the area. Overall: I’d stay again if I needed to be in the area.”

“Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming.”
