  • RECENTLY UPDATED 2 bedroom cottage located right on Swan River! Launch kayaks, canoes, and other personal water craft from the dock directly in front of the cottage! The sandy shore of Nantucket Sound is just a short paddle up Swan River. This unit located at "Fisherman's Village" and has everything you will need for a great Cape vacation. The primary bedroom has a king bed and a twin and the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. Enjoy the lovely cross breeze off the salty water or for your comfort, each bedroom is equipped with a window AC unit. Enjoy the spacious deck offering water views of Swan River and access to the association dock. Don't miss out on the star filled sky view from the outdoor shower, a true Cape Cod treat! Owner will allow 1 dog with a added fee. Short getaways available with an added cleaning fee. Save the cleaning fee by booking 7 or more consecutive nights. An administrative fee and applicable taxes may apply. Linens not provided. Guests may rent linens or bring their own.

Cape Cod hidden gem

We loved it! The house is lovely and quiet for being right off a main road! The decor is a bit dated but we loved that about it. It takes you back to a simpler time without deadlines and chaos. It allows you to get in touch with nature, like the baby bunnies in the yard! Or the Egrets, osprey or other beautiful birds we saw there! The water access is right there and kayaks available (for FREE!) The house has everything you need and we had the pleasure of meeting one of the the owners and he was just lovely and very available to our needs and questions! Plenty of room, no issues with parking. I would recommend this rental for making beautiful memories!! We loved it!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rusty has two good size bedrooms with a good size kitchen and living space. Sliding doors to the deck allow for breezes and feeling of outdoors. The backyard wanders into the Swan River. There was kayaking and fishing off the dock. Grilling ourselves lovely meals with easy clean up. There is a beach is full of shells within walking distance that the ice cream truck visits daily for kids of all ages. We had a small problem with the grill and the owner came right over. He is lovely.

A wonderful experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the cottage esp sitting on the deck at night watching the sunset. We enjoyed the nature of the marsh. When we had difficulty joining the Wi-Fi, the owner’s relative was at the cottage in less the 30 minutes. He was friendly, personable, fixed the situation and recommended The Oyster Clubhouse Restaurant which was 1 of our best dining experiences on the Cape. The cottage was clean, we definitely appreciated the AC in the bedroom, excellent water pressure in the shower, appliances were all in good repair and worked to our expectations. All in all, a very good 1st time experience. South Village Beach is also a wonderful experience. Only concerns were the amount of extension cords and adapters present, duct tape used to repair tears in upholstery. But otherwise a very nice experience.

Comfortable and excellent location

We had an excellent experience at this property. Very clean cottage with beautiful view of Swan River. Would recommend. The fees were excessive, I feel through VRBO, though.

Quick getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views are beautiful!!! The kitchen view is incredible ( love it ) The use of the kayaks, grill and hammock is a major plus. The only issue I saw that could potentially turn people off was the duck tape chairs ( which could easy be fixed with a white throw sheet over it like I did). Otherwise I had a great time with my kiddos and found it to be charming.

Dennis Port Charm

This quirky cottage is quite different from other places we've stayed - very unusual design, creative use of a kitchen without conventional cabinets, no two windows are alike, and so on. But it grew on us by the end of the first day. The back deck is spectacular, and the views of the river and marsh are second to none. We walked the dock to watch the gulls and egrets to their fishing, and enjoyed the many birds in surrounding trees. We really didn't want to dine in restaurants due to the pandemic, but having a great fish place across the street let us get wonderful takeout and enjoy it on our deck as we watched the sunset. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that do takeout or delivery, and several with outdoor dining. The 3/4 mile walk to the beach was easy with a beach cart, and that saved parking fees. The setting is remarkably quiet and we enjoyed our private getaway.

Dennisport Cottage Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: picture of the cottage is somewhat deceiving the cottage is part of a small group of cottages very close together parking is very tight - would not be able to accommodate any other visitors The gate shown in the picture is broken in half the cottage itself was ok - well used- is absolutely in need of a good cleaning - utensils etc covered in thick cobwebs very dusty ( glad there were cleaning producuts availalbe) - sliders were rickety. Neighbors were loud in both the complex and next property- The view from the deck helped offset these issues.

Swan Pond River Vacation -Cape Cod

Reviewer Comments: We chose this location as it was a quaint little cottage set on the banks of the beautiful Swan Pond River with a communal dock to the water.This river is perfect for kayaking in either direction,its mouth at the West Dennis Beach close by. You can kayak out into Nantucket Sound or walk to the beach.Sunsets from the large back deck were spectacular. Right across the street is a fresh seafood market and restaurant. You can fish or go crabbing from the dock or nearby bridge.Kayaks come with the property! The only caution would be that for the price, the cottage was a bit shabby with carpeting and sofas taped where torn, broken towel racks etc. That said, it kind of added to the charm and hominess of the place but fussier customers might be put off and disappointed.

Lovely Cottage

This little place is prefect for a small family as it offers close beach access, stunning views of Swan River, and a very tranquil, relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our time there very much and would definitely come back.
