Cabin not really a cabin but a divided studio. This rental appeared to have been recently renovated and tastefully decorated. I found it clean and cozy. But...There was no appreciable view. I could see the sunset in the reflections of the apartment blocking the ocean. It's a short walk to the shore but no beach. It was so small there was no place to put our luggage. The love seat was old and stained and you would just slide down when sitting. There was a large ottoman that filled the space. The bed was a memory foam punch bowl. Two people and we sank too deep to be comfortable. One person could sleep on the edge. The ottoman was the most comfortable for sitting and sleeping. The kitchenette had a dorm fridge, microwave, bar sink and new coffee maker but no coffee was provided, not even local samples. Some cups on a shelf, thrift store plates and flatware were in a drawer but no spoon. Internet would just drop and was quite variable. It's a good thing we came in our compact car as parking was tight and steep. Not much desirable for local food. Tidal Raves is a short walk and offers great views and decent food. C'est La Vie is a 4 mile drive for a delicious breakfast. Local shopping is all Depoe Bay branded tourist merchandise. We took the whale watching tour boat and did see a few whales.
Depoe Bay was a random choice, but I wouldn't choose it again.
