“The staff at the blue jay pub were absolutely lovely and so helpful ,all i have to say is probably a member of staff needs to be alocated in the hotel to save keep walking to the pub to get extra milk ,sugar and toilet roll ,oh and the doors from the hotel room doors are the most loud and scary ones being slammed for hours and hours on end and the floor from the room above us we were room 108 is the most loudest floor heard every footstep all around there rokm so came back from weekend stay...

“We were stopping at the Lock overnight following a funeral. Reception for check in is in the pub/restaurant (obviously a cost saving exercise). Room was clean and comfortable, no tea/coffee on the drinks tray but to be honest we were so tired we weren’t having one. Comfy bed, room warm enough and minimal noise from guests in other rooms. ”

“Bathroom door frame had blood on it, last guests old coffee package on floor. Loud Music playing in Courtyard at 7am.”

“Room was spacious and looked like in the photos. They do have a big problem with damp but this only really affected the asthetics and didnt affect our stay. The room looks freshly decorated. ”

“Have stayed in The Unicorn many times in the past and have been very satisfied however this particular room lacked in a few small things. One side of the double bed did not have any surface to place personal items such as watch, phone and wallet or cash etc. Because of the exceptional large bed there was not enough room for a bedside cabinet on that side but maybe a small shelf would be handy. Also one side of the bed had a light switch but it didn’t appear to do anything, I would have expected...

“Excellent place for a functional overnight stop near M1. Friendly, comfortable and quiet. Can park car right in front of motel-style rooms. Tea & coffee making in room. ”

“Superb stay, loved every minute. All staff were very welcoming and helped my elderly mum. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone I know traveling that way. ”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“its a titanic pub, so liked the range of real ales, lovely village, everyone so friendly made you feel welcome,and two more pubs only few hundred yards away, crispen and black swan.”
