“Room was clean, but property needs maintenance - peeling paint on room sash window, hook on bathroom door broken off and missing. Otherwise very comfortable, Continental Breakfast good and staff lovely.”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“The majority of golfers arrive for the day and do not stay overnight. The result being after 9pm, the lodge is very quiet. For some that will be a like or dislike. I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay with no complaints. All the staff I met were helpful and friendly.”

You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. “This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.”
