Property not as described: We were to spend the night in the home you listed on 9/27/25 and this property is not as described and extremely unacceptable. First off we contacted you regarding possible early check in since we made it early. No response. We drove to the house only to find a a male and female there which looked like cleaners since they brought out a vacuum large bag of miscellaneous stuff, garbage and mop. This was at 2pm and they didn’t leave until 2:55pm and check in was 3pm. It was obvious they were scrambling to finish the work they were doing or I should say “lack of work.” They were in such a hurry they dropped linen off the step of the front door then left. We felt this was not professional to not have the place ready prior to our arrival. We tried getting in the front door but had issues getting in. So we walked the outside of the house to the back to find it absolutely disgusting from the neighbors backyard to the uncleaned patio and unsanitary hot tub that was filled with foam and just filth. This was where we were to spend our time but it was not healthy and clean. When we received a phone call from Jesse regarding entry, we were able to enter the house only to continue to be disgusted and unsatisfied with the cleanliness from smudges, cobwebs, dishwasher running with dirty dishes, dust etc. We all agreed we didn’t feel comfortable and safe with the property and contacted you again with the complaints. I chose this place due to price, location and what it provided for the grandchildren. It was decorated cute and had a theatre in the basement. We were hoping to have smores after a day at Adventureland and a movie. Rain came in so outside was out and then the TV's didn't work. SO, it wasn't the best experience for the grands that we were hoping for. I reached out to Jesse and heard back after we were in bed. We still didn't have them working by the time we left, but we were refunded a portion of our stay. At first, she became a little defensive (like it was our fault and we weren't doing it correct because it was okay on her end) but after explaining myself, taking pics, and checking into it more, there was an issue. She was accommodating with the refund and went out of her way to let a friend back in the house to get a stuffed animal that was left behind. I did a suggestion for the suggestion box in the house and that was to have an exterminator come in. There were quite a few cobwebs, and we killed three spiders. Overall....quiet neighborhood and cozy little place to put your hat down. Cute kitchen with goodies and tons of coffee lover stuff and essentials for cooking! Highly recommend.

Convenient for track events!

Easy to get to and from where we needed to be. Small but clean and met all the needs for sleeping except one part-basement included sleeping option for the couch but doesn’t work if you’re over 6 feet tall. We managed with that since it was a teenager. :) Overall we’re planning to stay again!

Graduation Family House

Clean & thoughtful touches! I loved the outdoor patio. The bedroom size is in keeping with the house, comfortable & was well represented from the pictures. The washing machine & dryer were nice to have - especially after using the hot tub.

Consider Other Options in DSM

While there were some positives to the house my overall experience was not very good. When we showed up on Friday...- The dishes were visibly dirty - There was trash (beer bottle) in the basement and it had obviously not been cleaned- The hot tub was not working and had to be heated up almost the entire night on Friday- The propane tank and the backup were both out and we were not able to have our fire on Friday night- There was a lemon slice and other trash inside the dish washer- There was a gross visible spider trap in the laundry room- Outside all the cushions were dirty- The backyard looked nothing like the photos (no attempt at growing any grass)- it was just dirt and depressing- The hot tub cover smelled really bad and there was dirt inside the hot tub- The laundry room door would not close and ruined some of the aesthetic of the basement- There were roughly 8 lights that did not work in the backyard- Under sleeping it says that the living room has 3 queen beds which is not true (there is one couch that did not fold out)Jesse was responsive with some of my issues during my stay and then the day we were supposed to leave(Sunday) he said to take up any issues with him and leave a 5 star review after. I reached out to him on Monday with my complaints. He ignored me through Wednesday, so I sent a follow up message. I sent a final follow up message on Thursday and called him, and he continued to ignore me. Please consider other options to stay in Des Moines.

What an Awesome weejend

Grand Daughters 14 Birthday, her friends loved the hot tubtub and Movie Theater. Big stormed rolled through day before, out host sent someone over to get hot top checked and cleaned. Very responsive, and much appreciated

Great One Night Stay

I am a HS Youth Pastor who had a group of Juniors and Seniors with me in Des Moines for a conference. This home was a nice spot for us to stay for one evening that took care of all our needs and the students enjoyed the hot tub!

Disappointing Stay ~ Dirty & Poor Drainage Issues

I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but after the host specifically asked me to leave a five-star review for their “fabulous cleaning team,” I felt compelled to share our actual experience—one that was far from fabulous. The property looked adorable in the photos, but the reality was very disappointing: * Bedding was dirty, with hair (both human and animal) on all the sheets, on every bed. * The kitchen had smears of unidentified substances on the microwave buttons and fridge handles. * The backyard was so neglected, with a thick pile of leaves, that we didn’t feel safe letting our dog out, plus it was not secure for pets as they could escape out the side gate. * The bathroom was gross—the sink and tub drained so slowly that showers turned into standing in calf-deep water, all while enduring barely-there water pressure. Stepping out of the shower only made things worse, as the bathmat was covered in dog hair and what appeared to be dirt. The situation with the bathroom became such an inconvenience that we had to go to a family member’s house just so my children could take baths. While the host mentioned they were trying to get a plumber to come fix the issue, the plumber never showed up, leaving the problem unresolved for our entire stay. Although cute, this property was far from clean. Being asked by the host to leave a glowing review for a cleaning team that so clearly didn’t do their job was pure gaslighting. We do not recommend.

Very Accommodating Space

This was a great location to do many things in Des Moines. The space was perfect for 6 adult females to lounge and converse over the weekend. We spent most of our time on the deck, as we had a perfect weekend. I would highly recommend.

Great Stay

We had a bachelorette party here and it was perfect! There was a lot of dirt and dust on fans, etc like it hadnt been completely dusted in awhile but very minor detail and did not affect our stay at all!

Great place for kids/teens

A group of seven of us stayed for the national speech and debate association tournament. We were able to have our four students sleep in the basement and they loved that area. The decor was amazing. The house was very clean and Jesse was great to work with. We had a couple bumps on the road that we're not Jesse's fault but he communicated great and was a fantastic troubleshooter. it's clear that he's very customer oriented and wanted to keep us happy.

Great place!!

The Coop has everything you need!! It was nice to be able to bring our four-legged family member! The house was clean, cozy and cute! Each room has an awesome theme and decorated so nicely! We loved the theater room and the hot tub! The location of the Coop was in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Jesse was prompt with any communication and very accommodating! Will definitely book again!!

The best girls getaway!

The five of us stayed Thursday-Sunday for a girls getaway weekend. We didn’t have any plans other than just relaxing and catching up and this house was excellent for it! The beds and furniture are comfy and the theater room was so much fun! The back yard was adorable with lots of comfy seating!! That early fall weather was perfect to enjoy the fire table and hot tub. This is a nice halfway point for us and I’m sure we will be back!

A+ Stay

Perfect rental in a great neighborhood. Great style and design. Everything was perfectly clean. The theater room was the highlight of the stay for the kids. We will gladly book this house again if we return to Des Moines.
