Not happy!

Well we're checked out and at the airport going home. I'm very disappointed with the poor response to my concerns during our stay! As much money as we paid for the condo I expected a decent sofa bed with a comfortable mattress and one that worked properly. Once the maintenance man identified the problem, staff did nothing to rectify the situation. I could see maybe time would not have allowed a new hide-a-bed but some compensation should be forth coming. But staff response that someone will be in touch did nothing to rectify the situation plus no one ever responded. Naturally my review at this point will not be favorable. Highly disappointed

Best place ever!

Sundestin was doing a little bit of construction but that didn't stop the overall experience. It was a very pleasant stay. Very much enjoyed ourselves. Staff were great!

Destin vacation

Vacasa assigned us to a different condo called Sterling shores as our unit was under construction. The condo at Sterling Shores was absolutely perfect for us The view was spectacular. No issues what so ever. Will stay here stay here again.

Beautiful views

Place was very dirty. Had a bathing suit in our shower so we know it wasn't cleaned. Floor was greasy. Bed was comfy, outside furniture was nice, view amazing.

Good location and clean condo

We enjoyed our stay very much here. Location was great and condo was clean. Our only complaint was the couch was so uncomfortable I sat in my zero gravity chair in the living room area while my wife sat in the provided chairs at night. I would recommend replacing it. I’m pretty easy to please but I wouldn’t even put that thing in my man cave at my house. Other than that it was a great stay.

Sundestin never disappoints

This is my 13th trip to Destin staying at Sun Destin. I never have any issues or complaints. Only minor frustration was construction noise and no pool available. Otherwise the unit was great as always!

It was the little things

Many positives including location, great deck furniture and two bathrooms. On the negative side the little things included no salt and pepper, nothing but bar soap, no recliner or foot stools, skillet much larger than stove burner, small coffee cups. I solved all these issues by going to Walmart and a thrift store - except for the foot stool. We are senior citizens.

Cant hear myself think!

Had I known there was demolition 50' from my condo, I NEVER would have rented this place. Jackhammers, hammer drills, saws, 10 hrs a day, and 8am on SATURDAY too?? The noise drove me out of the room. couldnt even carry on a conversation. walls vibrating, grinding, HORRIBLE! The guts were missing out of the coffee pot, and the toaster only cooked one side of the bread. It took 3 days to get replacements. We had an insect problem, I bombed the condo with insect killers, and they sent an exterminator 3 days later, that drove the roaches out of the walls. The toilet whistled so loud that I actually taught it to sing a song after a month! The dishwasher isn't fastened to the cabinet, be careful it'll tip on you. I was told that a manager would call me and discuss some sort of compensation, but haven't heard back from ANYONE! It's been 5 days and no call back. But you are asking for a review??? OK........ the beach is great!

Beautiful view

Condo was okay, but needed some TLC, especially in the bathrooms. Several problems - specifically the tub not draining properly, vent cover missing in the half bath, light bulbs blown in fixtures in bathroom and dining room. Very disappointing that you could not sit anywhere on the beach, without renting the resort's beach chairs and umbrellas. I do not recall that being mentioned in the amenities, but I will need to review the policies once again. Now that we know, we will not be staying at this resort again. Felt like we were being told where you can sit on the beach and what umbrella you had to use. Very sad and not enjoyable.

Unit 503 Sundestin

Location and View were good. Tub would not drain. Dining Table was not stable. Ironing board would not extend up or down. Towels were very rough. Beach umbrella and chairs did not come with the condo. No hair dryer. AC vent cover in bathroom was missing and there were lights out. Electrical panel door in hallway would not close.

Only one complaint, the second toilet was broken. I loved the location, the pool options, hot tub and most importantly, the beach. My toddler stayed busy and happy the entire time. We will be back.

Lovely getaway!

Positives: The location was perfect, the view was phenomenal, and the price was right. We loved that there were two bathrooms. The bed was comfy. Negatives: We were bummed to find the pull-out couch unfit to sleep on. The couch itself probably could have been slept on. There was a funky smell to the room upon check-in, which lingered throughout our stay. We were shocked that there was no hair dryer, salt & pepper, or blankets for the pull-out couch (only thin sheets). Our positives outweighed our negatives on this trip, and knowing what I know now, I would return again (maybe a bit more prepared).

Beware

Mouse droppings reported and never received any communication from vacasa (unless I called) and local management group never followed up. Kitchen lacked supplies.. but ok as we didn’t use any of the cupboard items due to the mouse droppings. Beach and view were outstanding.

There was a mouse who was very loud and smart. We never saw him, but he ruined a bag of cashews and made a lot of noise. We actually thought there was an actual intruder at first. Droppings under sink.

Fantastic view

The room was nice, loved the view. The bathroom set up was a little weird. A part of the bathroom ceiling above the toilet fell while we were staying there. Need more light in the bedroom closet.

Room smelled horrible. Extensive text exchange and multiple calls and no one bothered to help us.

Spoke to 4 different individuals in the management and leasing company and was completely blown off. Worst experience my wife and I have ever had traveling.

Not completely satisfied

There were some issues with our stay. First of all There were NO blankets for the couch bed. I had to go buy one. There were regular missing staples for the kitchen. Meaning, salt/pepper, coffee, coffee filters and cooking spray etc should be something that stays in the room. You can not expect someone to travel with all of that. I strongly believe that the room could have been better supplied. I even tried calling the front desk for a blanket and they told me they couldn't provide it.
