    Sundestin Beach Resort 0605



    The Space:

    *PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing an extensive property modernization project beginning September of 2024. Construction will occur from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including weekends if required. Guest will most likely experience construction noise during these times and other inconveniences. Please be advised that our outdoor amenities will be closed until early Summer of 2025:

    -Outdoor Hot Tub

    -Splash Pad

    The grill and smoking areas will be relocated during the renovation. The indoor pool and gym are available during their regular operating hours.

    This timeframe coincides with the first two phases of our property renovation, and all dates are subject to change due to weather, labor, or supply chain issues. We apologize for any disruption and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our resort for your future enjoyment. Renovations will continue throughout 2025 and into Spring of 2026.



    The popular Sundestin Beach Resort is centrally located in the heart of beautiful downtown Destin, just minutes from a wide variety of shops, recreation, nightlife and some of Destin’s most loved restaurants. The beautiful eighteen-story beach-front complex offers unsurpassed views of the breathtaking Gulf of Mexico while providing all of the comforts one would expect while vacationing on Florida’s Emerald Coast. The resort features a host of amenities such as a gulf-front outdoor pool, a seasonally-heated indoor pool, outdoor and indoor hot tubs, fitness room, sauna, steam room, gas barbecue grills, massage therapy, gift shop, video arcade, and much more. Location, affordability, amenities and a friendly, onsite, 24-hour staff makes Sundestin Beach Resort this one of Destin’s favorite resorts.

    Things to Know

    Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.

    Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.

    All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

    No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

    SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing construction to the building. Please expect intermittent noise during construction hours of 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. If construction needs to go past these hours or on the weekends information will be posted a week in advance in the lobby of SunDestin. Construction will be completed by June 2025.

The condo was not terrible overall, but there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable than we expected. The condo had a noticeably damp, musty feel to it throughout our stay. The air conditioning also did not work very well and would not cool the condo below about 72, which made it uncomfortable at times.Unfortunately, on our last night, the power went out, leaving us without air conditioning altogether. Then, on our final day, the elevator was broken, so we had to carry all of our luggage and belongings down six flights of stairs to load everything into our truck. That was especially frustrating when trying to get out on the last day.The location and condo were otherwise decent, but between the damp feeling, inadequate AC, power outage, and broken elevator, there were enough issues that we would probably look for another property next time.

Can’t beat the location! View from the balcony was perfect to view the ocean, beach and pools. Bed was comfy. Stocked with basic necessities on the kitchen and bathrooms. Only issue was the televisions weren’t working. Work order was put in to resolve. (Update - tv was replaced the day we left)
