Great trip

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Silver Dunes is a great place to stay. It was our second time staying there. We will keep coming back. The condos are very nice and clean. It is right on the beach and is a very family oriented.

We only had one issue with the door handle breaking going out to the patio the last night. Everything else was perfection!

Love Silver Dunes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've had family coming to Silver Dunes since the 70's and it has remained our favorite place to stay in Destin. The beach is extremely well maintained, unlike other places we've stayed along 30 A. The grounds are very nice and provide the perfect place for family to enjoy.

Great unit and beach space!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit had the cutest, beach decor. No cheesy beach signs in this place, but beautiful boho decor with a tasteful, nautical touch. The unit itself was older, but the bright white walls and decor made up for it. It was clean upon arrival, and we had plenty of towels/linens. The best part about Silver dunes is that the condo building itself is smaller than its neighboring condo towers, so we had PLENTY of space on the beach for our party of ten. We plan on going back!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Very attractively decorated, good location for Silver Dunes in general, comfortabel beds, well equipped kitchen, adequate towels, washer and dryer, everything seemed clean, nice furnishing and closets, games availableCons: the TV was a REAL issue. There were not adequate and easily available instructions for the various remotes available. In order to watch college football, I think our son eventually joined Sling for a trial period. Someone eventually came to help but we had spent hours by that time. Outside grill does not work well. Tried steaks for a few minutes and then put them in the oven because they did not seem cooked at all. Door entry code did not work when we arrived but was quickly remedied when we call the management office. Dryer is outside on porch but still much better than nothing. This unit is an end unit which has its perks, ie quiet. But there was very little view. Bunk beds were loved by toddlers but were a bit shaky. I would be hesitant to have an adult sleep in them.

Fleas kept biting all of my family

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was not worth $700 a night(roughly). The carpet was heavily stained. The sliding doors would not open the whole item and the handles eventually broke off. Not to mention, the first night and the remaining stay, my family was eaten up by fleas. Inside the condo, there were several big cockroaches and outside surrounding areas had roaches crawling around. Maintenance, did little to take the dumpsters, which were constantly overfilled. While there is no smoking allowed in the units, it did not stop other guests from smoking marijuana, where other guests could inhale it. We called the front the desk and they did nothing to stop them. This place could use a major update/ paint job and cleaning, because it is disgusting, to say the least. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Great Stay

The property was nice and very quiet considering we saw several other families there.

Fun fun fun

Great property! The patio door off the living room needs to be fixed (need to use both hands and a foot to open.it) and the carpeting can use an update or switch to vinyl flooring. Otherwise it was very comfortable condo. All the amenities were in great condition. Short walk to the beach and pool.

Beach Vacation 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good experience! Location was good and amenities were fine. The only issue was we arrived at 4:15pm and rental was not ready. When we entered they were still cleaning! I understood we could check in at 4 and when I asked management they said it is anytime after 4pm. We waited until the gentleman was done and he still did not unload clean dishes from dishwasher! I think cleanliness was sacrificed because he knew we were waiting! However, we did have a great vacation and would consider staying here again as well as telling others about the property!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not good. Pantry entirely too small to store enough food for 8 people, no ceiling fan in 1st bedroom or good lighting, receptacles loose in walls in MB and wouldn't charge, dryer outside on patio and not inside, dishwasher leaking, no stopper for bathtub in master bedroom, sliding doors kept coming off track and were very hard to lock due to being old and somewhat rusted and bent. Outdated for what you pay now. Rates have gone up. Complex itself is still very nice and clean. Beach service not the same without George who always made sure the only people on Silver Dunes' beach were renters. There were several coming over from the other towers because their beach was so crowded. Very disappointed in our stay here.

We had plenty of room in our condo for our family and was extremely satisfied with the beach service!! It was wonderful having our chairs set up daily on the front close to the water!!!

Reviewer Comments: We had plenty of room with 3 bedrooms, the courtyard was so cool - it was great to see all of the kids playing in the courtyard in the afternoons. the beach was beautiful and not crowded (unlike the high rises in the area).

One last hoorah!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 37 is new to the rental program. The furniture is nice and comfortable, but the condo itself is outdated. The carpet needs to be replaced and a couple of the sliding doors were pretty hard to open. The dryer had a load of towels left in it. Unfortunately, the rates here have gone up almost every year for the last 5-6 years with no increased amenities in return. After 30+ years of coming to Silver Dunes every year we will not be returning next summer. The customer service is just not there any more. For the prices and what you get for your money, I would look elsewhere around Destin.
