Lots of general upkeep lacking. Broken lamp, scum on pool , major mold on dryer. Around pool needed pressure washing. Stone black. Lots of mold, especially around pool. ( Health hazard). Stayed there fore second year. Will not be staying there again.

HOLTZCLAW FAMILY VACATION 2025

Really enjoyed the property. Great location, and really enjoyed the Hot tub, and the Theatre room. One complaint, the property was not well cleaned. We had an infant drop something on the floor as soon as we walked in, and it rolled under the couch. When we moved the couch there was a lot of trash. We found an old Oreo cookie, and several other food items. Overall really enjoyed the property and would rent again.

Annual family vacation

Our extended family stayed at the beautiful Emerald Palace. All agreed it was the best house yet! Great location and spacious rooms. It was awesome watching 2 Pacers playoff games in the movie room. Definitely will stay again. Golf cart and beach service was so easy and set up ahead of time.

Wonderful property. Could use more bath towels and washcloths in each bedroom. Pool needs hand rails to help older people get into pool. Great area and great stay.

This place checked ALL of the boxes!

Our big family beach hops each summer, staying along the Alabama/Florida coast. This property not only checked all of the boxes for what we were looking for but is literally across the road from the beach entrance and has a nice sized pool. There were multiple refrigerators on site. The theater was excellent! The rooms were big. Communicating with the management team was a dream. They were available by text at all hours. We had an issue with the refrigerator, I text them, a tech was over the next morning. Would definitely recommend!

Family vacation.

We had our entire family of 11! The house is beautiful, there was enough room for everyone and the location was great. I highly recommend renting the golf cart and having the beach chair and umbrella set up. We also had the pool heated because we were there the end of April. I gave a four star rating because the bathrooms and kitchen were clean but the floors did not appear to be swept or vacuumed and the glass doors were not cleaned. I also think it would be helpful to have a folder that stays with the property with information on house amenities, guest rules and check out requirements, phone numbers for contact of managers etc. That said we had a great time.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at Emerald Palace! We had great communication prior to our trip so we didn't have to stress about details. The location was perfect- right across the street from the beach. We really enjoyed our golf cart rental and took advantage of it with nightly trips for ice cream. The theater room was excellent to entertain kiddos on cooler mornings and the heated pool didn’t disappoint! Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future!

Family Spring Break Trip

My family (8 adults and 10 kids) stayed for a large spring break trip. It was our first time in Destin. Pros: 1. Location! Right across the street from the beach. Short walk to community pool, fitness area, etc. 2. Plenty of space in house- everyone enjoyed having their own rooms and bathrooms. 3. The house was very well stocked with kitchen items and cleaning supplies. 4. Adding the golf cart for the week was a much enjoyed bonus! 5. Everyone enjoyed watching basketball and movies in the theater. Cons: 1. The management company sent me the wrong check in instructions and wrong address which led to a frustrating and stressful check in with such a large group. I expected the company to be much more apologetic, but they acted like it was no big deal. 2. There were a few large bugs in the house (palmetto bugs?). I’m sure that is common but it was unnerving for some of the kids. There were pest plug ins in all the rooms so I’m guessing it was a common problem. 3. Several people from our group ended up with a hot tub rash. I alerted management and cleaners were sent. Following the cleaning, the hot tub smelled like bleach so we avoided it for the rest of the week. 4. The community pool and hot tub were not cared for properly. By the end of the week, they were unusable.

Annual Tilton Family Destin Trip

We have been coming to Destin for 17 years and each trip has been fantastic. This home fit our growing family perfectly! The close proximity to the beach and the Crab Trap was excellent for on foot travel. We didn't have the opportunity to rent the golf cart, but we didn't miss it at all! We cooked just about every meal and the kitchen did not disappoint! Two refrigerators definitely added storage for all our groceries. The theater and air hockey were a nice distraction from inclement weather. The pool was warm and got a lot of use. Plenty of seating kept everyone comfortable. A few disruptions during our week due to the new hot tub being installed weren't an issue because our large group actually helped the crew move furniture to get the tub to it's final resting place quickly and effortlessly! Nice crew by the way! The hot tub soak was fantastic! My only con to this vacation was the fact that the website still had a clear view of the Gulf posted in the pictures and there is a home being built where the view used to be. There are still beautiful views of the Gulf, they're just between buildings now. That said, the vacation was a success and I would 100% stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location is awesome. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Aside from that, we loved our time there.

Best ever

Lovely. We had 11 people annd the setup was perfect. Everyone spent tons of time in the game room. The beach was so close and all the beach accessories that were provided were great.

Location, Location, Location

Best part about this house is the location. Right across the street from the beach and minutes from restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. The pool and movie/game room were the best parts about the house. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with dishes/cookware. Loved the extra fridge/freezer and ice maker. The finishes and overall condition of the house are definitely not "luxury" as their add describes. Furnishings are pretty worn, especially the couch and all the beds need new mattresses...everyone that stated at the house could feel the springs! The pool was nice and in good condition, but as the previous review described all the plants in outside planters are dead and the outside is very lack-luster. Upon arrival bedding in one of the rooms had multiple stains and the bunk room had no blankets or comforters on the beds. Management was quick to remedy these issues. The overall cleanliness was pretty good, however a good deep cleaning is needed-light fixtures/fans, windows, etc were quite dirty.The golf cart was a fun add-on. We also enjoyed the community hot tub. Overall a decent place to stay and we enjoyed many fun filled hours at the beach and pool!

Very nice house in great location for going to the beach.

House was as promised. Tall ceilings. Lovely rooms with room for everyone. Rear balcony gives a nice view of the pool and lake. Golf cart was enjoyed by all and made short trips to beach, nearby stores, and restaurants very convenient. Theater room is nice plus particularly if you get a rainy day. Theater room was great for "movie nights". We also enjoyed the beach chairs being set and ready for us when we decided to head to the beach. Maintenance issue with water heater for upstairs was being addressed when we left. Rental company was very responsive. Only disappointment was the landscaping. Maintenance of the yard and plants has been abandoned. Lovely plants by pool (in pictures) were are dead. The landscaping around the house is not maintained at all. First day I spent some time pulling tall grass clumps out of the pool deck. Such as wonderful home otherwise. Regards, The Kelleys

Beautiful spacious house

This property was very spacious and accommodated our group very well. It was a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and the two refrigerators was a nice bonus. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the movie room. Maintenance was very responsive and the property was generally in good condition. I would recommend it.

Lynch Yearly Family Vaca

We had 17 family members. Our teens really enjoyed the game room-media room. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all. We were serenaded each night by the frogs out back. The only complaint I have was the washing machine. It was so small for such a large house. We could wash very few items at a time and didn’t actually feel things got clean. The oven door didn’t close tightly but everything still baked fine. Overall we really enjoyed Emerald Palace and would enjoy staying there again

Perfect!

We really loved this house! It’s in a great location! The pool is very nice and it rained while we were there so we got a lot of use out of the amazing theater room! We had an issue with one of the air conditioners and they sent someone to fix it immediately! I would highly recommend!!!
