I stayed at this property with my three kids from June 2 to June 7, 2025. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by calming blue tones paired with rustic touches that create a cozy, home-like atmosphere. We spent most of our time enjoying the pool and relaxing on the back patio. One of our favorite days was when we didn’t leave the house at all, just enjoying a peaceful day by the pool.The kitchen is spacious and well-suited for families, making it easy to gather and cook together. The location is convenient, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby, and just a short drive to a water park and go-kart track.However, there were a few drawbacks. The living room couch was very uncomfortable and noticeably worn, and the large kitchen window had no shade, which let in a lot of sunlight. Additionally, we found a few tiny black bugs in the master bedroom, so if you spot something dark on your sheets, it’s likely a bug.Despite these issues, we still had a great time and I would rate our stay an 8 out of 10.

Perfect family getaway!

We stayed at the property for a week in March during spring break. The location was perfect - quiet neighborhood with just a short walk to the beach. The house looked just like the pictures with plenty of space for my husband and I, our two teenaged kids, and my mom. We paid the extra amount to heat the pool, which I would definitely recommend if you’re visiting in the spring. The only thing the house was missing was pool towels, so make sure to pack those. But other than that, everything was fantastic. The property is currently for sale, and I’m really hoping that the new owners will keep it as a rental because we’d love to come back!

This property was exactly as displayed online. Gorgeous pool, spacious rooms and less than 5 minute walk to the beach!! Great location about 20-30 minutes from downtown Destin and night life. The staff was great at checking in and making sure the stay was going well

Great Family House!

This was a clean, spacious vacation home with a wonderful open floor plan that allowed my family of 7 to spend d a lot of quality time together just hanging out, without feeling cramped! We splurged on the pool heater and it was worth every penny! House had a nice laundry room, a great Dyson vacuum for the sand that inevitably made its way into the house (no matter HOW hard we tried!), and a HUGE master bathroom! Location was a very short (2 blocks or so) walk from the public access to the beach, which had the signature beautiful white sand and was NOT crowded at all. One of the prettiest beaches I’ve ever been to! Overall, great rental, would absolutely recommend to any family with older children and teens!

All the amenities of home!

Family vaca

The home is absolutely beautiful and well stocked with the essentials to start you off. However our experience was a little too dramatic. We arrived on Friday and by Sunday I received a text message stating that there was a complaint that we had a dog and were smoking on the property. Later that evening I received a call from the property manager on the same issue. I assured her there was no dog. Monday morning they showed up to physically check the property again no dog. The rest of the week we saw random workers come on the property to do their cleaning. I honestly think it would be best to have a sign posted somewhere on the property of the random employees coming on the property during the week. With that said you have no privacy whatsoever. Overall we had a good stay and a very relaxing vacation. We will be back to Destin but not for certain we will choose the same location.

Destin home experience

I will start with the GOOD things about the property. The house is beautiful, furnished very nicely with everything that you need! The kitchen has everything for home cooked meals, there's also a grill outside that was very convenient. There's a private pool that was very clean and maintained with a nice outdoor dining table in the yard and tanning chairs. We loved having the cozy back porch area to sit during late nights. Overall, house was very spacious, generally clean, and nicely remodeled. LOCATION: PERFECT. Very easy and accessible walk to the beach. The beach chairs and umbrella are a great addition. There's a mall 4 min away and A LOT of restaurants. Publix was also very close for groceries. I don't normally like to give bad reviews especially for a home this beautiful, but there was one thing the property may need to work on. The issue we experienced with this property was that there were cockroaches, or palmetto bugs as the locals might say. I didn't want to believe it after we saw one but they just kept showing up daily. The kitchen was full of them, and we discovered more and more throughout the first floor. We wrote to the property manager on the VRBO website and didn't get a response, so we called the maintenance phone number and they said they would send someone over to spray the same day. We never saw anyone come, although we were gone for a period of 1.5 hrs in the evening. We still saw the cockroaches for the remainder of our stay. We called maintenance again to see if anyone actually came out, but they said they did. To me, this means either the infestation was really bad, or no one ever came out. Either way, this seems like a big issue that the property owner/manager doesn't seem to care about much. The whole family had to carefully go through each article of clothing to verify no cockroaches snuck in. It's such a shame because the rest of our stay was great! Overall, I would come again, if the cockroach issue is resolved!

Anniversary Get-Away

Crystal Beach was a great choice for us on our anniversary trip! I cook everyday, and the kitchen was very well stocked. We had plenty of towels, which isn't always the case with rentals. The home was very clean, and the private pool was a huge plus. Very short walk to the beach, and the complimentary chairs and umbrella meant we only had to carry our cooler and beach bag.

First family get away!

This property was awesome for our family vacation. It was our first full family vacation with our kids and their families. We had us (the grandparents), our 3 daughters and their families which included two 1 year olds and a 4 yr old. The whole process from rental, questions, check-in and placement of additional rental gear was awesome. The master suite was spacious and we ended up using the master closet for one of the grandkids to have quieter sleeping quarters. The attached master bathroom had a gorgeous garden tub that the 3 littles used every night. The walk in shower was big. The pool area was perfect, spacious enough for lounging, grilling and swimming in the evenings. The wing awning provided just enough shade. The front porch was shady and was protected from the street with nice landscaping, an attractive fence and inviting furniture. The perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee. Only 2 blocks from the beach, it was a short walk and the provided wagon was perfect for our gear. We absolutely LOVED our experience here, the only negative for us was the loft bunkroom. When renting this house we didn't realize the "kids" room had an open 3/4 wall and large round window with no covering. Every sound from the lower floor traveled right into that room. But we made it work as the master closet and the one large queen bedroom closet were big enough to accommodate the cribs we rented. Overall, it was fabulous! Would definitely rent again when the babies are older.

Family Vacation

This was our first family vacation in a year and half due to the pandemic. This home had everything that my family and I were looking for. The property manager was awesome and courteous. It was the perfect location and the beach was in walking distance. We are definitely planning for our next stay again. The Franklin Family

Great space, some shortfalls

Owner communication was great, and the space is quite nice, especially the master suite! Important note: upstairs bedrooms are FULL size, not queen - we wish we had known that before we booked. Some cleanliness issues (dirty pans, pool area), but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Recently updated

I assume the property was recently updated. It is clean and airy. There are some things that were not finished though. Face plates missing from plugs, pantry doors leaned up against it instead of attached, closet door not completely attached in the master. But, great location and very clean! We had a great time.
