Our stay at the condo was great. Very clean and the management was very responsive. Just a short walk across the parking lot to the beach and pool, all were very accurately displayed in the photos. We were extremely happy with our stay.

Everything was out dated besides stove, micro, refrigerator. No keurig, old coffee makers. Old panted over walls and decor. Just didn’t fell welcoming or a home away from home feel. Odd smell in all bathrooms. We had to put a towel down at the front door to prevent outside pests from entering we learned from the first night. Only smart tv was in living room and as we know modern times people want to have the ability to get Netflix etc on all TVs in each room. The tvs in all bedrooms was 20” or less.We rotated a box fan each night for a comfortable cool night’s sleep, after 90 degree weather. 48 per day if you wanted an umbrella with 2 beach chairs on the beach. If you brought your own you would have to be behind the paid umbrellas. The access to the beach was good and close depending on what unit you stayed in. Office staff responded quickly with ac issues.

Nice stay!

This way a very nice stay by no means. However i would recommend the owner provide beach chairs for guest or pay for the fees association with having the beach service. During our stay we found a few water bugs near and inside of the property. We notified management during our stay and they were very responsive. The location is very close to pool and beach. I would also recommend the owner to have atleast 10 beach towels to provide for guests especially keeping in mind those who fly into Florida.

Wonderful Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay @ Gulf 88! The townhouse fit our needs perfectly! The beech access was easy and was a great time for my family. I would highly recommend this property! When we come back to Destin in the future, we would definitely book this place again. Thanks!

I’ve stayed in Southbay all my life, but this was the first time I booked through VRBO and RealJoy Vacations. I saw that other condos were available and I thought I would give it a try. I reached out via email with some questions about a week prior to traveling and never heard back. I called about two days prior to ask those questions and the lady on the phone, though doing her job, would not pass along my questions to higher management or the homeowner. We did not receive check in instructions with the property codes and check in times until the day of. This made timing for travel on the day of more difficult. When we arrived at the property, the door was ajar and music was playing loudly. This made us feel a little unsafe. My husband had to walk in to make sure everything was okay. The company was also very inflexible about the check in and check out times even though there were no reservations before or after ours shown online. We have booked at Southbay through other companies previously and they were more willing to accommodate where possible. Additionally, we found a cockroach in the kitchen and the beds were like sleeping on concrete. I slept better on the beach and looked forward to getting back to my own bed. The exhaust fan in the master bathroom sounded like it was on its last leg. I will be staying again at Southbay but not with this company or homeowner.

Nice condo, very affordable

We loved the location, short walk across the parking lot to the beach or the pool! Condo was very clean, could use some updating, but the price reflects that. We had everything we needed walking in the door, it felt like staying at a family members vacation house mixed with a hotel. Easy check in/out. We are already talking about coming back next year! We had seven people with us and didn’t feel crowded, lots of space to hang out together. Plus, 2 1/2 baths and lots of closet space, so plenty of space for everyone to have their stuff, and we had a lot!

Southbay 88

The location was great. Only a short walk to the pool, beach, and tennis courts. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking appliances. Our only disappointments were the uncomfortably hard and thin mattresses, and the tiny tvs in the bedrooms. Even in the kid's room, the mattress was so creaky that we could hear every toss/turn in the night through the walls. Didn't get a lot of sleep because of this. There was also ongoing construction on an adjacent property behind the unit that started pretty early in the morning. Overall, nice place.

Spring Break

The property was in a good location especially close to the beach and pool. A gated area. The unit was dated but primary areas newly renovated and clean. It worked great having 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

Nice location

This townhome has all new kitchen items, flooring, etc. nice place. The room with the three beds is for little kids. Three full size adults would be uncomfortable sleeping in the little beds but other than that it was great. Right across the parking lot from the beach. Would def recommend this place.
