“Without a doubt, this is an interesting and unique place to stay. The Frank Lloyd Wright influence is obvious in the hotel and Mason City downtown. Lovely old building that was extensively refurbished over 10 years and well maintained since. We stayed in the hotel on 2 dare a week apart. The first stay was booked directly with the hotel fire a Queen bed and the assigned room was toward the front of the hotel. Our 2nd stay was booked through Expedia selecting a King bed. “Thank you for allowing dogs on the property. That is a plus. However, I was there four nights and had no courtesy cleaning of the room and I think that should happen at least every two nights with the provision of extra bath towels, etc..”

“Breakfast was bad, no protein but boiled eggs. They just have cereal, waffles, yogurt. So, it's hard to say that "breakfast included" could be a category for this hotel”

“The hosts were great. It was so peaceful. The breakfast brought to our room was amazing. ”

“We were in the building with one other guest! It was quiet and very comfortable! The breakfast meal was superb! The young woman that prepared the food was an artist! I have never had an omelet so light and tasteful! The Rose Room had a private balcony, that allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the weather! I definitely will stay there again!”

“Room was clean, but clearly had years of smokers in it. Reeked of cigarettes. Didn't stay, left immediately. Appeared clean, and good layout with lots of amenities. Wished it could have worked out. Owner was very responsive. Easy check-in.”
