“We got exactly what was described. Nice quiet little cabin and it was great for our weekend getaway! We did arrive late and were unable to find the bath house without the map. My only critique would be to include the map with arrival instructions. Other than that, it was perfect!! Thank you so much, we'll be back for sure!”

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“My husband, adult son, and I really enjoyed our stay. We were there to visit a younger son at UGA, about 25 minutes away. PROS: Lewis, the host, was easy to reach, friendly, and responded quickly to all communications. Check-in was easy with a code for a keypad. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The couches were great for relaxing; the beds were reasonably comfortable. AC and heat worked well, and ceiling fans in the living room were a nice touch. Showers had good water...

“The property was in a quiet location with fairly easy access to the greater Athens area. Overall it was clean inside, the bedroom with the attached 3/4 bath had a funny smell to it that wasn't found in other areas of the house. Cell phone reception was very spotty and that was with 3 different providers. Did not like that you could not access ESPN/SEC networks on the tv. Having a washer and dryer to use was an added bonus. I would recommend this property to others if they are looking for a nice...
