“My partner and I hoped for a peaceful getaway to hike and chose this place. As soon as we drove in, it seemed like nothing we’d quite seen. It’s walled like a park with an expansive front yard area, but it’s private. There are really cute old buildings. It was like we had the place to ourselves. “The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Check in went smoothly. Though clean, it's obviously an older hotel but you can tell it's had some updates. The free breakfast was good with your standard hotel breakfast options. I loved the balcony and the view of both the town and Ohio river was a nice touch. ”

“We had so much fun exploring the castle and learning the history of the property. There are so many unique trinkets throughout the castle, every time we walked in a room we found something new to look at. The stay was an experience in itself!The castle is very clean and our room stayed nice and cool. We went to Charleston state park to check out rose island.David and Nikki were great hosts!We looked forward to returning again soon to explore some more!”

“The atmosphere is awesome if you like the medieval effect. It can be intimidating if you're more into elegant luxury or shy. The rooms were clean had electricity and the hosts were great. The bed was very large and comfortable. There are many areas to explore on the large property. Some areas are under renovation.”
