“The front lobby is not inviting. The carpet strairs are not vacuum. You can see the dirtiest. Luckily my room was quite clean, regardless I have my home slippers to use. Breakfast was very basic. I just had 2 sausages links.”

“Apartment was clean, down to earth (literally, lol...semi-basement apartment, but totally comfortable and plenty of air and light), both furnished and kitchen stocked with the basics, neighborhood was quiet, and bed was comfortable. Considering the sketchy reviews of hotels in the area and that the only dependable one was the Holiday Inn (which charges *Chicago* rates), this was an excellent place to stay. Highly recommended!”

“House was very inviting and comfortable. Weather was not our friend but it didn’t matter. Description of location and house is very accurate. The most important thing that can make or break any vacation for me is a comfortable bed. The bed did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this location if your looking for a quiet peaceful getaway. ”

“The property was beautiful. It was remote and the scenery was picturesque. The sound traveled oddly clear over the lake. We could make out distict voices from the house across the way although it was too far to see them. We didn't mind the noise, though. The problem was that there was no wifi, no bath towels, no hand towels, no toilet paper, no paper towels, and no broom. We had to go to the closest walmart 25 minutes away to buy these basic amenities for ourselves. There was a canoe and paddle...

“Very peaceful view. Lots of birds, fish jumping in the water, barges (can drive up the road about 20 mins to see the barges go through the lock and dam which was cool!). Quiet area and didn't hear or see any neighbors really.Kitchen has almost everything you'd need. Although we didn't use it, the washer and dryer has detergent.”
