“The staff was very nice”

“This is an old hotel right on the Ohio River with river views from the lobby and lounge. The rooms were clean and bright with good amenities. A refrigerator would be a welcome addition but there wasn't a lot of space to add one in the room we stayed in. The town was the launch point for settlers into the "Great Northwest Territory" so there is a lot of history here with riverboats as a central theme. “I hate giving bad reviews but the the Microtel is in very poor condition. There was a broken cart sitting next to the front desk. A bed pad was covering something in the hall next to the broken cart. There was a hole in the ceiling exposing a broken pipe. A bucket on the floor was collecting water underneath the ceiling opening. That was in the first six feet. I could go on but I think that paints a good picture of the condition. Staff was very nice but the hotel needs a extreme makeover. :-(”

“Garbage cans in lobby were overflowing. Nothing available for breakfast. Hot tub not working.”

“It needs updating in the worst way. Carpets look awful. Beds are very uncomfortable. Had air running all night and room just felt stuffy. Staff was very nice. It’s just old and needs some TLC”

“Pool is closed and empty, parking is good, staff was friendly. If your looking for a clean bed only then this is for you. No frills, no in room coffee, maybe in lobby if yor lucky.”

“Perfect place to stay with our large family for my son’s wedding! Loved gathering in the breakfast area anytime during to visit. Plenty of room. Lastly the breakfast every morning was fantastic! Eggs sausage waffles cereal coffee grits biscuits oatmeal… perfect!”

“Saturday was bagels and muffins.no hot food staff member was unable to come in. Sunday was awesome had waffles and croissant with egg delicious. She kept the place neat and well stocked on Sunday morning. ”

“El checking estuvo bien muy amable , solo el cuarto esta ya un poco viejo la cama un poco ruidosa , toallas manchadas la tina del baño Ni ganas de bañarme me dieron se le salía el agua por las orillas Del agua atrapada que ya tenía abajo y y un poco ruidoso afuera de la gente que llegaba no tenían respeto por las personas que ya estaban durmiendo durante después de la medianoche no creo que me fuera quedar otra vez en ese lugar nunca. ”

“Great location for a rustic getaway. Communication was great. I was in Parkersburg to visit my daughter and we had a great time kayaking! Awesome spot! ”

“I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the place, very roomy, and the sliding glass doors to the deck added brightness and a pleasant view. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you needed, including cleaning items. I will need to travel down this way again this year and would certainly rent from Jordan again. Very homey place.”
