“It was my first time going somewhere on a vocation and i was very satisfied with this place. Next time I will rent a second room to have the whole house to ourselves. The neighbors were good but with 3 ppl one area felt a little small so definitely need the while place next time.”

“Went to check-in. Didn't have my reservations. Waited 50 minutes before the error was rectified. Turned out main office at Kings Plantation never sent my reservation to the resort. The resort had to message someone due to the fact the main office only is open until 5:00. I had reserved a cottage. This was not a cottage it was more like a duplex. We could here the people next door. The stayed up late and got up early. So we had prolems sleeping. Pool was nice.”

“We have stayed here many times, so it has become a home away from home. We have family in the area, and love staying here! The location in historic Yorktown is perfect. We can walk to the shops and restaurants, and the battle fields. We love going to Mobjack Coffee Roasters. The cottage is always clean, and the owners are very responsive to any questions. ”

“The cottage was in the perfect location for our visit to Yorktown. Once there we really didn't have to drive much. It is easy to walk down to the water, to the battlefield and the American Revolution Museum. We walked to restaurants and shops. The trolley that does a loop has a stop directly across from the cottage. The cottage had nice places to sit outside, plenty of room in the living area. “This unit was perfect, updated, clean, and comfortable. We have stayed at Kingsgate before, but this condo was the best so far! Kingsgate has many amenities which make it a great place for family fun. It is close to Busch Gardens & Water County. Conlonial Williamsburg is always worth visiting.”

“We’ve reserved the property months in advance and received a confirmation. When we went to check in to the property, the resort did not have a reservation. When I contacted the homeowner, I was told “yes, that is a problem. I’ve been meaning to talk to them about that.“ We ended up not being able to stay there and had to drive three hours home.”

The only thing I didn't give five stars to in my review was the property listing, because the photos simply don't do it justice. "The hotel is located in an area close to many things. The cleanliness of the room was not good; one of the bed blankets had blood on it, as if it hadn't been changed. We were tired and didn’t have the energy to go to the main lobby to ask for a room change, so we opted to just request a clean sheet. There was hair in the bathtub, which makes me think it wasn’t cleaned very well. The beds were comfortable, but I don’t think they are queen size; they seem more like full size because they’re small. The air conditioning did not work well; it wasn’t hot, but it wasn’t cold either. I wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone planning to stay for more than one day."
