“Nice hotel with great location on the beach....initially I would have given a 4/5. Now I downgraded to 3/5. Internet seems to cut out constantly at check-out time (I saw this happen every one of the five days I was there...curious that internet fails everyday at the same time!) so impossible to order an uber and you end up taking their taxis which are double the price!!! Also, no fans in rooms so you are stuck with loud A/C all night. Finally, for some reason, two days into my stay somebody...

“everything was perfect”

“We had a very enjoyable stay here. It's a great place to spend a beach holiday with an extraordinary pool and a clean beach to walk, it's not possible to swim in the sea. The food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and with the necessary amenities. The only downside was it had no proper entertainment for the evenings.”

The doctor and all the staff were welcoming, kind, and always smiling. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel comfortable and at ease. “I have stayed in Sri Lanka 4 times previously so I know what to expect. The Eden hotel employees are very kind and polite. But other taxi providers are not allowed to take you to or pick you up from the hotel! So the extortion on taxi fare charges is controlled to the point where nobody will charge you less than 9,000 rupees to take you to the airport and we even hear of violence between taxi drivers if you don’t use the taxi drivers that control completely the Eden hotel gates!!!!!”
