“We had a lovely stay and the hotel is gorgeous. We loved the old style bar and the decor in the rooms. There were, however, a few flaws which would be worth mentioning considering it is not a cheap hotel. Firstly, there was only one person on reception so we were queuing for a while to check in / out and there was no visible key drop. “Enjoyed a four night stay here. Breakfast was great apart from one day they were slow re-filling. Didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening so can't comment. Did use the bar, great service and helpful staff. Room was a bit dated, but clean and well equipped. A good hotel, right in the centre with great access to tourist spots, bars, restaurants and shops. This was our second stay and we would definitely stsy again if visiting the city.”

“Everything about our stay was excellent. The accommodation was warm, spotlessly clean and the twin beds very comfortable. The room itself was the smallest in the house but we found it more than adequate and were very happy with the space. Our hosts were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel very welcome. “Access worked well via code communicated via email. Room was very clean and well appointed. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Small bathroom with nice rainfall shower. Location was ideal sitting at the bottom of Steep Hill between shops and historic Lincoln (castle/cathedral). ”
