“It was my first time going somewhere on a vocation and i was very satisfied with this place. Next time I will rent a second room to have the whole house to ourselves. The neighbors were good but with 3 ppl one area felt a little small so definitely need the while place next time.”

“The staff was super friendly and helpful! The camp had allot to off the kids and plenty of room to roam around. If you need supplies there are stores within a 6 minute drive. We all had a good time.”

“Nature trails”

“Went to check-in. Didn't have my reservations. Waited 50 minutes before the error was rectified. Turned out main office at Kings Plantation never sent my reservation to the resort. The resort had to message someone due to the fact the main office only is open until 5:00. I had reserved a cottage. This was not a cottage it was more like a duplex. We could here the people next door. The stayed up late and got up early. So we had prolems sleeping. Pool was nice.”

“We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. “We were able to stay a long weekend with our family that now has all young adults. Loved the house - it was the perfect size for the 5 of us, and had everything we could need. Dock was amazing for watching the sunrise and sunset, and Cape Charles was a quick drive for dinner and some shopping. Hope to come back for a longer stay!”

It is close to other homes but that was okay for us, although some more window treatments in the kitchen and facing the back would be a good option. “Key Cottage was charming and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were standout fabulous - modern, great water pressure, and spacious. The house is well stocked with just about anything you can imagine needing. We loved the location, on a quiet corner in the cute village of Irvington with so much to walk to and do. The only problem we had was getting into the lockbox when we arrived, but they arranged for someone to run down and help us out. ”

"The hotel is located in an area close to many things. The cleanliness of the room was not good; one of the bed blankets had blood on it, as if it hadn't been changed. We were tired and didn’t have the energy to go to the main lobby to ask for a room change, so we opted to just request a clean sheet. There was hair in the bathtub, which makes me think it wasn’t cleaned very well. The beds were comfortable, but I don’t think they are queen size; they seem more like full size because they’re small. The air conditioning did not work well; it wasn’t hot, but it wasn’t cold either. I wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone planning to stay for more than one day."
