“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. “Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey.”

“El hotel es precioso, muy grande, se extiende no en altura sino en superficie. Tiene muchos espacios diferentes: restaurantes de diversa categoría, bar, espacios para fiestas incluida discoteca y un terreno enorme. La habitación amplia, con una decoración exquisita. Y las dos “recepcionistas” que nos atendieron tanto a la llegada como a la salida muy amables y agradables.”
