“The view is spectacular! The rooms are very clean, with a microwave, complimentary coffee and tea and dishware for you to eat in the room. The heating works perfectly and the rooms are very well insulated, so you can be very warm at one of the coldest places in NZ. The staff was also very helpful and gave as a map with all the local attractions and recommendations. Overall a great place for a very decent price!”

“We stayed in one of the new refurbished rooms with a view of the lake and it was absolutely perfect! Ideal to have two beds when travelling with a child, very clean, warm and comfortable. Beautiful bathroom and excellent on site facilities. The lounge with the cosy fire was so nice and breakfast was huge and delicious! Definitely don't let negative reviews put you off. Obviously we don't know what the older rooms are like, but I cannot fault the refurbished room. ”
