“This was the perfect stay for my mom, myself, and two young children. It was very clean, nicely decorated , and still smells new. The dome is very cute, and the hot tub was awesome as well. Very quiet. Great shower. We wish we would have had more time to explore Valparaiso, but this made for an easy day trip into Chicago via the South Shore Line. Host is very friendly and quick to answer questions - no issues, just a few inquiries. Definitely take a look at the host's guidebook. We used her...

“Our kids had a fantastic time enjoying the pool, and they especially loved having their own spacious beds. The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating! The kitchen is quite minimal, so we recommend bringing disposable plates and utensils if you plan to cook or eat in. While this isn’t a luxury property, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge after long days spent at the lake and dunes. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay for our family!”

“We loved the location. We have been to Chesterton before and we were happy that we could walk to our favorite shops and restaurants. We never had an issue with parking out front, it was always open. We read other reviews about the trains but as a light sleeper I can honestly say I could not hear them with earplugs in. The apartment was a good size for the two of us. The apartment overall was clean but you can tell it is an older building. There are somethings that could use some touching up....

“We absolutely loved staying at this house! Upon walking inside the home it felt extremely welcoming and cozy. We also loved that the location was close to the beaches at the national park. The beds were very comfortable and provided fans to each bedroom. There were many amenities geared towards the stay and instructions were very clear. If we find itself in the area we would definitely stay here again.”

“Sketchy property location, not clearly marked on the street (kind of hard to find), unnecessary poor communication regarding check-in procedures, (just like a regular front desk experience but they make it complicated) The room was ok, bed was fine, staff was very helpful, property condition was just ok.”
