“This was DEFINITELY a cabin in the woods! It was so peaceful out there; heard nothing but chirping birds, crickets, and frogs. We even saw 3 deer just outside of the cabin one morning! We had our own "welcoming committee," a solid gray cat we referred to as Dorian. The cabin was clean inside, but could have used a sweep or two out on the back patio, but it's in the middle of the woods, we didn't expect anything to be immaculate out there. The host was very responsive to requests for information. The location is in a very quiet neighborhood within 4 blocks of downtown. We appreciated having a washer & dryer to launder some items we got for him in Baton Rouge since we flew in from out of state. The decor is inviting and pretty. The owners welcomed us with a friendly message and checked in to make sure everything was to our liking when we arrived. Very nice touch!”

“Really enjoyed our stay. Could use a few updates and minor repairs. Some areas required a little cleaning (trash from previous tenant and box of worms in frig./pity we didn't do any fishing!) but we took care of that upon arrival. Plenty of room for us to spread out. “Property was awesome!! Great location extremely clean and fully equipped! We stayed 8 days as we move our baby into LSU .. so convenient. I even had amazon items delivered to the property and left on the porch! No porch thieves. My only recommendation is to get a mini split for the back room as it get a little too toasty back there even with a fan. “Our host was quick to respond and very easy to get in touch with. The house had everything that we needed and more, which wasn’t even mentioned. The back porch was amazing as was the 2 story pier. The location was also top notch as the only boat launch, convenient store, and restaurants for miles around was just a minute away. Also, to make things easier on us, we just paid to park our boat trailer at the launch during our stay. Our family can’t wait to go back! ”
