Clean and well-maintained property. Does not include a blow-dryer in room or a continental breakfast. Coffee in room is available for an additional cost.

Dear Valued guest, we do apologize you did not meet the expectation, unfortunately, Woodspring suites does not serve breakfast or amenities like coffee in the room. You can request a hair dryer at the front desk.

The place was very limited on immenities (microwave, coffee maker, hand soap, only two pillows and no extra pillows), and customer service was really weird where the front was closed when I first got in. I can understand if it's after midnight but it was no where near midnight. Also, I noticed someone had left their key card at the closed front desk. There wasn't a locked box where someone can drop off their card keys. The next morning, that card key was still there when I was checking out. No one at the front so I left my card key there too.

dear valued guest, i do apologized you did not meet your expectations while staying with us. you can request those amenities by calling the front desk. unfortunately, there will be a fee for purchase for our dish and cooking package.

Detroit unicorn
I am an IBEW member here on business for several weeks. The hotel is in a good area, ckean and bug free. There are no junkies or homeless people hanging around. For the greater Detroit area this is a unicorn. The staf is helpful and friendly. Rpoms are clean. The only complaint I have is the shower water pressure could be better.

The hotel overall is beautiful. My only con is, no ice bucket, no ice machine, no extra pillows in the room. The room has a half kitchen with no utensils, and barely any amenities in the room such as lotion, soap, and shampoo. At night the lobby looks like a ghost town, it's extremely dark. As a Police Officer, it bothers me. I saw a guy sitting on the couch on his phone. If he wasn't it would've been hard to notice him. I used to be security, accounts payable, front desk supervisor, and human resources at Marriott. Our lobby never went dark and there was someone available for late travelers. I hate to say this but I'd stay next door at Tru because it felt more welcoming.

A Work in Progress
This could be a good or even great hotel. But the small nuisances added up to a big disappointment. The satellite TV froze and went blank every 4 or 5 minutes. There were no hand towels available for the rooms. No towel bar by the sink, so you have to wash your hands and then run across the bathroom to dry them. The towel bars for the bathtub are around the corner from the tub -- almost impossible for a disabled person to reach. The bathroom by the 1st floor exercise room is locked and only available to staff, meaning you have to return to your room if you need a potty break while exercising. There is no bridge between Woodspring and the nearby strip of restaurants, so you have to either trek cross-country over a ditch or take a long, long walk to get to any but the adjacent deli. Rooms don't have a coffeepot. As I said, it could be good, but it's not there yet.
