“The hotel is a striking and unusual building, very handsome, though we would have appreciated better signs - the rooms in the 400s, which had to be accessed through the library, were difficult to find when first arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the location of the hotel, near the seafront sights (the Mary Rose museum, Nelson's flagship Victory, etc) and the ferry ports. Everything clean and well maintained.”

“I was there early october and the island was shut down for the winter. This created a deserted melancholic atmosphere that I enjoyed very much. Staff was very helpful with my flight back. It was my first time at the Isle of Wight and it really is a place of outstanding natural beauty. I very much enjoyed my 6 nights there.”

Only issue was that when we looked up and booked our establishment and room choice, on Expedia’s website, we were offer a buffet Dinner and breakfast on the checkout day.
