Espectaculares vistas al mar HR1, playa, selva tropical

Hermosa Retreat es un escape exclusivo anidado en la jungla sobre la famosa Playa Hermosa. Vistas absolutamente impresionantes del océano Pacífico, la puesta de sol durante todo el año y el legendario cuento de ballenas. Todo eso con brisa constante que fluye por la casa.

Esta casa nueva como 3 generosas habitaciones y 2. 5 baños. La sala de estar está perfectamente diseñada para los trópicos, ya que se abre a una gran terraza exterior con sofá y sillón para relajarse y perderse en este paraíso perfecto. Un gran lugar para relajarse y descansar. Para la cálida tarde, tenemos una piscina infinita para refrescarse. La casa viene equipada con comodidades de primera calidad.
Hermosa Retreat también tiene una excelente ubicación. Se encuentra a solo 10 minutos al sur de Dominical y a 2 minutos al norte de Uvita. También está a 30 minutos del aeropuerto de Quepos y a 40 minutos de la famosa playa de Manuel Antonio y el Parque Nacional. Hay un montón de hermosas playas, surf, ríos, cascadas y restaurantes a poca distancia en coche. La playa más cercana es Playa Hermosa, a solo 4 minutos en coche de la casa.

Amazing vacation

We had the most amazing stay in Uvita. Hermosa Retreat was incredible, luxurious, a beautiful location, and attention to detail by Jerome made the whole stay memorable. If you are considering a vacation in Costa Rica, look no further.

Lovely stay!

Our family had a lovely stay at this home with an incredible view. We felt like we were away from it all in the forest but not too secluded! We would recommend this place for a family home base on a Costa Rican adventure.

One of our best vacations yet! This is the perfect location to enjoy Uvita and the surrounding area. The host was quick to respond and provided us with all of the information we needed. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Ocean View

HR1 is a lovely place that has a 360 ocean view, perfect to relax and enjoy your holidays. The pool is great for the warm afternoons if you need to stay at home and the generator and the Internet speed are a huge plus for people who work online all over the world for us, especially in Costa Rica where blackouts are common, Jerome was a very kind and helpful host, so we had an amazing stay there!

Costa Rica dream

Beautiful , comfortable , clean, private home with awesome ocean views. Well appointed with everything you need. Cannot praise enough the fabulous chefs we hired to fix breakfast and dinner for our group of 6 every day. Bumpy dirt road to property only draw back.

Great views, but no joke about 4x4

The views were absolutely amazing! Very clean and nicely furnished. Great communication with Jerome, the property manager ,and Cathleen, the concierge. Both were very helpful and responsive. The one drawback was the drive to the house. Although not far from Uvita and Playa Hermosa. The steepness of going up the mountain and then down to the driveway of the house limited are coming and going throughout the day.was, the end of the day

Great stay in Uvita

This was a mini vacation for my husband and I and our first time in Uvita. The villa was comfortable and has great views. Communication with the hosts was great and quick to respond via the platform. They also have a great conceirge person who can take care of all of your tour needs. We did a great hike on our own at the Nauyaca waterfalls, went to nearby beaches and restaurants. All bedrooms have Ac and are located on the second floor. The main floor does not have ac but has two big fans. Highlight was seeing toucans while having coffee in the morning.

Amazing views, very private, perfect location!

My family (wife & 3 teenage sons) stayed at this property during our multi-week road trip down the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, ending in Cabo Matapalo on the Osa Peninsula. We had a spectacular time in the beautiful and very safe home just minutes from the beaches of Uvita & Dominical. We saw so many animals right on the property. Countless toucans, parrots, troupes of monkeys, hummingbirds, amazing insects and one very friendly Tropical Kingbird came to visit the property daily. The fragrant Ylang-Ylang trees that surround the property provide a supremely beautiful smell every time the sea breeze blows. This place was truly magical for us with plenty of security features (if that's your thing), a small (but magnificent) pool, and very responsive management. We will be back!

Costa Rica Charm with a Touch More to Love

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a VRBO in Costa Rica, and it was an experience close to idyllic. Nestled in a quiet, secluded area, the property not only offered breathtaking views of the Pacific and the Whale Tail but also provided us with completely unobstructed views of the stunning sunsets, which became a highlight of our stay. The covered deck outside was a personal oasis, where we spent countless hours relaxing and soaking up the ocean and beach views. The small infinity pool adjacent to the deck added to the luxury, offering a perfect spot for cooling off while still basking in the scenic beauty. Our check-in process was smooth and our host was exceptionally responsive, ensuring a comfortable start to our stay. The property's location struck a perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility, with gorgeous beaches like Playa Uvita and Playa Hermosa just a 10-15 minute drive away. Moreover, the roads leading up to the property were very nicely paved, making the journey pleasant and easy. It's important to note for future visitors that the final 50-75 meters to the house are extremely steep and consist of a dirt road. This section requires a 4-wheel drive, especially under challenging weather conditions. While the majority of the journey is on well-paved roads, this last stretch is crucial to navigate safely and comfortably. While the property had much to love, there were a few areas where it could shine even more. A microwave would be a handy addition

Costa Rican Paradise

It is in the view that grabs you right away. The minute you walk into the house, you are greeted with an expansive view of this gorgeous hillside and the Pacific Ocean - stunning and mesmerizing. Our group of five adults were at the house eight nights, but only ate out for dinner once - we did not want to miss the incredible sunsets every evening that we could enjoy from the porch. Now on to the house... The house is so comfortable and so well equipped. The pool is terrific - for water aerobics as well as late afternoon gatherings; the grill is fantastic; the kitchen is stocked with lots of dishes and glasses, two coffee makers (we were afraid to try the expresso machine!), and all kinds of utensils, pots, and pans - the only thing we could not find was an ice cream scoop. Jerome and/or Gregoire - I was never quite sure with whom I was communicating - really make the experience easy and worry free - and he responds so quickly! For our group, he arranged airport transportation to and from San Jose, the delivery and pick up of a rental car, and put us in touch with a terrific tour operator. The location of the house is perfect for exploring the southern Pacific coast. We used the house as a base, and travelled to beaches, various rain forest and water- fall tours, zip lining, etc. It is also convenient to a grocery store and a bakery. The house is so private. We never heard other voices or vehicle traffic - just cicadas and monkeys! Please take me back soon!

Picture perfect

The pictures do not do this mountainside, breath-taking vacation home justice. With your 4x4 vehicle you will go down a steep hill to this ocean view home where you will wake up every morning to the sounds of many types of birds as well as a family of Howler Monkeys often visible. This home is perfect!

Views Galore!

My husband and I had a short three night stay at this beautiful house. As everyone has mentioned the views are absolutely incredible and so are the sunsets. Sitting in the pool looking out at the whales tail made it really hard to leave at the end of our stay. The covered decks are perfect for taking a break from the sun or enjoying outside even when it’s storming. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others.

Paradise with everything you could want

The listing and photos are exactly as reality . The outdoor shower and pool are a dream, beds and rooms with a/c make sleeping on even the hottest nights a breeze. The kitchen is extremely well stocked even with a high end cappuccino machine! Everything worked perfectly. The furniture was comfortable and the location could not be beat. It is a paved road all the way up except for the last little bit where you do need 4 by 4. If there was any way we could give this place a higher rating, simply put; We would! We cant wait to come back.

What a view

Very beautiful home, the view was amazing ! Very private, enjoyed watching low and high tide on whales tail from the deck . The pool was perfect for cooling off and enjoying the view.

Gorgeous and clean house with amazing views

2nd time in the area, 1st time in this house - would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Greg & Jerome were quick and helpful with questions, suggestions and guidance about the area (hiking, beaches, waterfalls, restaurants, national parks, fruit stands, fish markets, etc.). The house is at elevation (~800 ft) with great breezes and limited bugs (we didn't need bug spray outside, unlike the beach). It's a very comfortable house inside and outside and we spent a lot of time just admiring the view (to Marino Ballena national park and Playa Hermosa). We'd watch the Whale's Tail appear and disappear with the tides at all different hours of the day. We originally planned on exploring beaches to the south, but ended up just staying at the house and enjoying the peacefulness, privacy, views and wildlife (Toucans, Parrots, Capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, butterflies and countless other bird types). The house is about a 7-10 min drive off the main highway, it's a rocky/dirt/gravel and steep in sections that you'll need a 4x4 vehicle - but it is so worth it. The house sits on a pretty steep slope, which gives it the breathtaking views, it's off the beaten path, so it is quiet. The nearby towns of Ojachal, Uvita, and Dominical provide great restaurants, spas, coffee/ice cream, craft brewery, with a very laid back atmosphere. I needed to use the house as my remote office one morning and found the wifi and cell phone coverage adequate for conference calls and downloading/uploading presentations (with pictures), plus the view wasn't bad either. The refrigerator has an ice maker and a Vitamix blender (made fresh fruit smoothies daily), beach towels (don't need to pack them), nice bathrooms. The house is comfortable for 6 people (2 queen and 2 twin beds). We highly enjoyed our stay there and would very much like to go there again.

Amazing Property!!!

My wife and I had a great stay at your beautiful home from July 12th to 19th. The house had everything we needed—which made for a relaxing stay. The house is closer to the ocean than the photos suggest—you can hear the waves at night. Fantastic view! A very brief rundown of miscellaneous stuff: didn’t use the A/C at all (breeze and fans kept it cool), WiFi supported Netflix, saw two types of monkeys from the patio, all furniture is comfortable... Just a great place overall. We will likely want to stay at this house again on a future trip.

Wonderful stay

We just spent several days here and loved it. House is well equipped and comfortable in a perfect location among the jungle life. Awesome birds and monkeys in the yard yet a short drive to great beaches. Greg checked in on us the day after we arrived to ensure we were comfortable. Balcony and pool provide such a relaxing way to enjoy a natural side of Costa Rica.... Pura Vida
