Cute place but the fans and remotes didn't work properly and the problem was not solved while we were there. It made sleeping in the Texas heat for three nights very difficult. There were three flies and no fly swatter. Blinds were difficult to operate so they stayed open, even at night which we didn't like. I wouldn't stay there again. Previous tenants dirty washcloth was still on the shower rod.

Great Experience Again!!

This was my second winter holiday I have spent at The Driftwoods. I stayed in the Pink Container House this time after staying in the green cabin last year. My stay this year lasted just over a week for Christmas and New Years. The cabin this year was comfy and the furniture and fixtures are quite new and impeccably clean. The AC and heat worked well. The bed was firm and comfortable. The grounds around the cabins are beautiful. I was happy to see that the trails were better defined this year. I was able to do some peaceful nature walks without getting stuck by pricker bushes. The only thing I think the Pink Container House needs is a small lamp or two in the common area. The overhead lights make it a difficult place to relax in the evening. However, the lighting in the bedroom was perfect and the streaming options on the TV were excellent. I definitely plan to come again next Christmas for a 3rd year.

Needs a bit of work

It's pretty close to the picture and relatively close. Unfortunately, I found mold in the shower. There is also an internal leak in the kitchen area, with water causing the laminate floor to bubble up (pretty bad). I texted the property manager saying I was missing sheets on my bed, but, apparently, there's nothing they could do as linens are "under lock and key"

Hey. Everything worked as listed. I left early due the remoteness of the venue. I was a little nervous about my medical condition. One thing that does bum me out is the additional cost for a 15lb dog. The fee was nightly. Can't there just be a one time fee of $25.00. I realize that people have probably abused the system, It's just a shame that there are fees for a venue that is pet friendly. It would be nice if venues charged based on usage at checkout. You'll find that I was a very low impact user. One bed, one glass, a spoon, and one towel.Otherwise I was satisfied and would recommend the venue. Thanks, Tom

Amazing stay!

My friend and I absolutely enjoyed our little weekend get away. It was private and serene. No issues at this property, everything was nice and clean, and the Pink container we stayed in was nice and cool.

Charming & Dog Friendly

When I pulled onto the property, I was taken aback. It was private, quiet, the other guest houses were so cute. The shared outdoor space was so nice. My dog loved going on the walking trail around the property. The location is close to Downtown Wimberley and a lot of other hiking and walking trails. Excellent stay. Would recommend. Would stay again.

Nice get-away location

Nice remote hill country location. Eclectic property with a variety of lodging, including tipis, yurts, container houses, trailers, and bungalows. We stayed in the pink container "tiny house". It was as advertised, a comfortable place for two. Full kitchen and bath. Kitchen was well stocked with dishware. Note to manager: bath sink drain does not stay open. Be aware, the party deck, firepit, and playswings are all just outside the front door of the Pink House. That may, or may not, appeal to everyone. But the other lodgings are spread over the property, so one can choose a place further from the party deck if so desired. I would recommend this property.

Great Little Get Away

My husband and I had a great weekend away here. Place was very clean and within a 10 minutes to most places we wanted to visit. We also enjoyed walking the trail around the property and walked in the morning and evening. Looking to stay again during the warmer months.

Cute little spot

We booked a last minute weekend trip at this cute spot thinking it would be close to a few spots we wanted to hit up yet give us the experience we wanted to being in nature. Cool concept with other tiny homes on the property. We took our small terrier with us, who loved it as much as we didn't. Check in experience: After booking on VRBO, there were a few extra steps before we were officially approved. This made the check in confusing since it wasn't super clear in the VRBO outline & honestly seemed a bit spammy. So! Note that you'll get directed to atleast 2 external sites to complete your reservation!! Onsite: It's definitely not a queen sized bed but a workable full-size bed + a full size "futon" sofa. A suggestion for the host - consider adding small, wall mounted shelves on either side of the bed - it would make it easier for guests. The wifi was a bit sketch, dropping pretty often but it was still decent enough for a quick Netflix download! Overall, even though it wasn't exactly where we were hoping to stay, it gave us a good experience! We'd come back!

Dark sky spot

Let me start off with this container home is adorable! It is such a neat concept and was perfect for our stay. We attended a wedding in Dripping Springs on Friday night. We love the Wimberly area and took advantage to stay at the Driftwoods. Dark sky review - This property has two really good spots to view the sky with your telescope. If you stay in the Tee Pee you have an nice open spot. You still have a tree line but it was a clear night and we didn't have any issues. The other is just before you reach the first structure (yellow house). It's the best spot with more open sky. You are near the septic system but hey, you gotta sacrifice for science. We setup after 11pm and it took a while for the other guest to turn off the porch lights. Once they did we could see Saturn, Jupiter, Vega, the Milky Way and other constellations. I can't wait to come back and stay at this property again!

Loved the pink container house! We took our Aussie on the trail which we all loved , used the common area and grilled , and watched a movie , and loved every minute of it ! We wished we were able to stay longer ...definately renting again .

Worst VRBO experience I've had while traveling

After arriving at the property the listing was NOT ad described. As they stated they had a King size bed and it was actually a Full. They also stated they had a twin size futon sleeper, which did not exist. The entire unit has one small window air conditioner which does not cool the bedroom so we were extremely hot. The room had small little bugs (which we photographed but there isn't a file attachment option here). We left the morning after we arrived because the space was not as described. After we contacted VRBO the property manager took retracted our refund offer. So I would not recommend this space for travelers. . All the best-

Secluded Stay

This was our first time to Texas and we had an absolute blast. The Drift Woods property was a hidden gem and secluded down backroads which we loved. There are other properties on the premise but all of our neighbors were great. We didn't get a chance to use the outdoor common area but we enjoyed the trails! This was the perfect stay for us as we took day trips to go visit other areas of Texas. We would definitely stay again :)

The location was amazing. It was really homey and inviting. It had everything that we needed for the few days that we stayed there. The binder had a few pages of restaurants and other stuff we could do and that was really helpful.
