Located just outside the top of the city walls. Lots of steps going in and out - but very few steps with luggage as taxi can come to the building unlike if you stay in the old town! There’s a short walkway they’ve put tables and chairs on. Only small but I enjoyed setting out there with breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening

We couldn’t have picked a better location with the gates of the old city right across the street! When we opened the shutters to the window we gasped in delight at the beautiful view we had! Everything was very clean and in good working order. It just would have been nice if the worker who checked us in could have spoken some English.

Lots of stairs

This little hotel was ok, just what we need it. Location was perfect, just above the old town, but just be aware of many many starts to get to it!

Great spacious property with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Easy downhill walk to the old town, but the steps back up are a challenge! Easy walk both ways to the cable car. There was some street noise at night but otherwise very happy with the stay.

The reviews don't thoroughly reflect this place. The host does not come out to check you in like the listing claimed but instead her cleaning lady does- who unfortunately doesn't speak a word of English. The check in process was made very difficult as a result of this. The beds were of poor quality with barely any cushion. You can feel the springs on your back as a result of which sleep quality was affected for the entirety of the stay. Our ID copy was supposed to be collected by the host/owner as per the law but was instead collected by the cleaning lady which was once again a surprise and not mentioned on the listing. Steer clear of this place. Plenty of better options.

Comments for 2 bedroom suite with view: quiet, safe and clean. We loved being able to see over Old Town from our window and also walk there very easily. Basic apartment but equipped enough for our needs. Great view and minimal road noise. Hosts were friendly.

Great property next to the Old Town. A bakery, supermarket and laundromat are within a short walk from the property. Beds were very comfortable with a good shower and enough kitchen facilities for a short stay. Would highly recommend.

The apartment was perfectly located to explore Old Dubrovnik and the area around the city itself. The apartment was clean and safe. Outside there is the sitting area which was perfect to relax with a glass of wine after a busy day of exploring and getting to know fellow travelers. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return someday.

I would highly recommend this apartment. Great location, few minutes walk to old town. Very clean and spacious apartment, with a lovely modern bathroom. Basic amenities provided. Feels very safe. The hosts were responsive to replying to messages.

Great situation

Great apartment ideally situated just a few minutes walk outside the the walled city. Steps down to Pile Gate directly outside apartment. Very clean and great views over the walls. Would definitely recommend and come back again

Would recommend. Great location

Amazing location just outside of Pile gate. Beautiful view out the windows. Air conditioner worked great. Lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance but not right around the corner. The room was large and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay. Our host did not speak much English, but we managed to get by by using hand gestures. The property was conveniently located on the main road, as a result, it can be noisy with passing cars when we opened the windows. If the windows could open out, it would have been an added bonus as the view from the flat looks directly onto one of the gates to the City wall. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Basic but good.

3 nights in Dubrovnik as part of a 3 week tour of Croatia. Location and view of ocean and old City are outstanding. Be prepared to walk LOTS of steps to get anywhere. No Parking nearby, so you have to schlep your luggage or figure out a taxi. The closest public garage is a scam to rip off tourists. Do not park there. It was 91 euros for 14 hours. The place is VERY basic by American standards, but I would recommend it.

The apartments are very clean, very well kept abd in an absolute prime location. You are steps away from busy stops, walking distance to dining options, tour locations and all entrances into the old town. Be mindful that due to the geography in Dubrovnik old town as a whole, stairs are unavoidable. You will have to carry your luggage up the stairs, but it's not a crazy ordeal like it would most definitely be in you are staying INSIDE the old town. So much better option. As far as the communication and staff: communication by the property management company is very good ahead of arrival. But getting help or actual communication with the on site host is hard and not clear at all. This should not be a major issue but I mention it because it can throw you off if you are not prepared. Be sure to inform your arrival time beforehand. Know that once on site, you will need to go through the main gate of the apartment building and knock on the door to get someone to show you to your room and provide keys. Other than communication being a slight challenge, parking is so difficult and expensive! So if you can, avoid having a rental with you while staying in the city. There are parking options but they are expensive! (€40/ day is the average around the area). That being said, the property itself and the location are prime. Cone prepared and you'll enjoy a magical time!
