We had an absolutely beautiful stay at this cabin on the lake! We are so thankful for our hosts providing so much for our one-year-olds to play with and accommodations for their stay. We loved dining on the back deck overlooking the lake and having a peaceful, quiet place to relax. We can’t wait to go back and get out on the lake.

Our family (parents toddler) had a great time visiting Lori & John's. A perfect jumping off point to explore the area, and for ending each night by the fire. Would love to come back and recommend to others.

Wonderful Family Cabin!

We had a fantastic time at this prefect cabin for our family. Cabin is modern with all the amenities you need. Fire pit area was a big hit every night! John and Lori were super nice and accommodating. We plan on visiting again and would highly recommend!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We enjoyed every minute & will always cherish these few days making family memories that will last a lifetime. We spent a day in Duluth and a day in Two Harbors. We loved Split Rock & Gooseberry Falls. We even got the canoe on the lake - in October! The cottage was perfect a had everything we needed. Lakeside Peace of Mind

Found John & Lori’s lovely updated cabin overlooking a peaceful lake to be super restful and comfortable. Decorated with a nod to the north woods, very clean, with great beds for napping and numerous spots to sit outside and enjoy natures sights.

We stayed with 4 grkids. The accommodations were perfect. We loved the remote peacefulness. The kids had great fun fishing, swimming, and paddling right from the dock. We would highly recommend if you want a place away from crowds.

Beautiful Winter Getaway with Kids

Absolutely perfect stay! John and Lori were incredibly accommodating to our family during our stay at the cottage. They had an ice rink plowed, bonfire ready to light, and welcome basket in the kitchen. The cottage was so tidy and clean. There were tons of games and toys for our children to enjoy. We loved everything about our stay. It was amazing!

Great getaway!

This property was amazing! Part of the reason we booked it, was because of its proximity to other fun activities but we could have spent our entire vacation at the cabin! The kids spent hours swimming, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. A great place to make lifelong memories!

Extended weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Decided last minute to take the kids to the north shore for the fall colors. So happy I found this gem! Definitely could have used more time so that we could have enjoyed the property and the lake more! Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful Retreat

My wife and I came up to this cabin to have a nice, quiet retreat over the weekend. We also participated in the Grandmas Marathon weekend races. The cabin was everything we hoped for. The pictures are all accurate, the hosts were welcoming and responsive, the cabin was spotless and showed the recent updates to the property. We had a really enjoyable time staying here!

This is a beautifully renovated cottage with everything you need. We really enjoyed all the “toys” for the lake that were included: kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats and fishing poles/gear. John and Lori responded quickly to any questions or needs we had. We will definitely visit again!

A three day get away with my son & grandson

It was a great time fishing with my boys. The cabin was like brand new, very clean and well organized, the fire pit up near the cabin was a great place to hang out in the evening and talk about our day fishing and being on the lake. The pontoon boat that the host provided suited our needs perfectly.

My Wife's Birthday Stay

John and Lori have a great spot. They had a Happy Birthday banner and gift basket waiting for us along with a couple of cake pops in the freezer. That was very thoughtful. The cabin was very clean and nicely finished. It really was a great stay. John and Lori were both very responsive.

You won’t regret this northern MN getaway!

You guys, this place is actually BETTER than the photos and description! Super clean, tons of convenient touches throughout with everything you could possibly need for relaxation and fun! The cabin has been beautifully remodeled and is comfortable and spacious. We have zero complaints staying with John & Lori and plan to tell all our friends and family about it. A perfect lake getaway for our family of 5 and we can’t wait to return. Perfectly situated between Duluth & Two Harbors.
