“Breakfast was self serve up by the rooms but worked fine. No toiletries in the bathroom to shower in the morning . No TV but that did not bother me. Quite a nice change.
Lovely pub with a roaring log fire and nice dinner menu in a very cute village

“There was a kettle with green , berry & fruit tea but no actual tea or coffee .Not as advertised.
The shower head was broken with water pouring out of the side. The shower head drooped over not above as it should . It was a hassle to try to screw it back on.Trying to shower while holding it. The temperature control was difficult to set. It was scalding hot then the hot water ran out after a few minutes. I had to rinse off and wash my hair in the small wash basin that did have hot water. “The room is a nice size, clean, but very very dated, the shower was in the bath and not very good.
The hotel itself is located not far from Stansted airport and it's the only reason I would consider booking again.
The parking at the hotel is very poor and pretty much a free for all but the car park next door is free between 6pm to 8am with proper painted bays where people park rather than just abandon their cars.
All in all it was an ok choice of a place to stay for an early flight but I doubt...

“Good facilities and very friendly host but not as clean as it could be inside with dirty soap tray in shower and cobwebs and bugs in bathroom. Front door area was a bit cluttered and common entrance had some odour from being a utility room. ”
