Escape to this rustic cottage Bunk house Yun-Shui Garden, just 10 minutes from downtown Durango. Surrounded by ponds, streams, and wildlife, this peaceful retreat features two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and space for up to four guests, plus a couch. Explore nearby hiking, skiing, fishing, and the historic Durango train. Enjoy quiet walks, deer, wild turkeys, ducks, and geese. Includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and large air-fryer oven for simple meals. Just a quick note for your stay: the cottage does not have a kitchen sink, but the water is from our own well and is very clean and safe for drinking and showering.
There is also no air conditioning, but the space naturally cools down nicely in the evening once the sun goes down. The Story of Yun-Shui Garden
The story of Yun-Shui Garden - where clouds drift and water flows.” In the early morning, you can hear the spring water before you see it. It feeds the ponds, wildlife, and gardens, and gives the property its quiet, peaceful character.
Before it became Yun-Shui Garden, this land was a trout farm. For more than forty years, Steve and Margaret Titus cared for the property, raising fish and adding the buildings and structures that still give the place its unique character.
Many of the buildings came from different places and times. Some were moved here and reused, including a former post office, a KOA office, and an old schoolhouse barn. The property grew slowly, one story at a time.
In 2021, we became the caretakers of this special place. Our hope is to continue restoring the land, creating gardens and wildlife habitat, and preserving the calm beauty of the ponds, water, and mountains.
Thank you for being part of the story of Yun-Shui Garden. We hope you enjoy your stay, slow down, and take in the water, birds, and changing seasons. Welcome to Explore Nature
