“Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay.”

“The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

“Beautiful house, super clean with all the amenities you could wish for. There is no WiFi however. The host said there was internet through the telly but there wasn’t and he then stopped communicating whilst we were trying to sort it out.”

“The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . The cottage could do with suppling a few essentials like salt , pepper , oil and more than 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets . But the cottage itself was nice, clean and well presented,...
