Only slight negatives were the shower and wash basin were tiny (- it would be really helpful to have shelves in the en-suite) and the shower drain is beginning to show its age. All a bit dated. “The gruff owner needs to realise that she is in the hospitality business, not doing you a favour by allowing you to stay at her hotel. I stayed there for 8 nights and had the following inconveniences: Breakfast was not provided the first day, even though I had paid for it (“I’m not starting to do breakfasts again until tomorrow”); my room was not cleaned on Sunday (“the chambermaid doesn’t work on Sundays”); the first time I used the shower all kinds of black bits of dirt and fungus came out of...

“Countryside enfolded the TJS and as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcomed. Our room was clean and fresh. Everything you needed had been thought of, big walk-in shower. fluffy robes, small fridge with water and milk for your tea. We only had breakfast but was freshly cooked and lasted us all day. We loved our stay and would definitely go back. TJS gets our thumbs up. ”

“What can we say.. such a beautiful and magical place.so clean and tidy. Our room was big. King bed single bed double sofa bed and a fold away single. Table and chairs. Fridge, microwave tea coffee and more. You have everything you need for a lovely comfortable stay. Secluded with a beautiful garden to explore. “We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. ”

“This “apart-hotel” was AMAZING! Ok, yes, it’s not in the “heart” of London, for that go and pay upwards of $700 a night. The staff was great: super helpful, friendly and nice. The Croydon Train Station is a 10-15 min walk. The self-serve kitchen (breakfast) was excellent. Truly recommend this place for a London vacation. ”
