Great spacious location with excellent view of the Delaware gap and hills and in quiet location next to forestland. Host was very responsive and provided everything we needed. Really liked the fire place and fire pit in the patio. Would definitely want to stay here again!

Cozy home in a scenic, happening part of Poconos

This is an excellent place to stay in the Poconos. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, so the area is safe. The surrounding area is scenic, especially during the fall season, with plenty of things to do nearby (East Stroudsburg). When I arrived and called the owner, she immediately answered and gave clear instructions on how to enter. She was readily available and made facilitated the check-in process.

Clean and peaceful

Two friends and I rented this property and it was great! Very spacious, quiet, and clean. The TV room was a nice bonus! Easy communication with owner and easy check-in.

October visit

We enjoyed our time together in the autumn in the Poconos. However, this property is not so well maintained. The place is overstocked with the owners items (including the kitchen and fridge). The dishwasher didn’t work. The door handle in the only bathroom with a shower kept coming apart. The grounds didn’t appear to have been maintained in weeks. We expected more considering the price we paid.

Lot of potential

House is spacious with a beautiful mountain view. A great back deck is available with furniture, fire pit and grill. Great for social distancing as long as it doesn’t rain like it did on us. Could use some attention to home maintenance and yard.

Nice, clean and relaxing but there were a few hiccups

The house was definitely spacious for a family, smelled fresh and inviting, was very clean and the owner was available as needed for calls and questions. The location offered a pretty good view of the Pocono mountains and the neighbors were polite and friendly. The home is in 90s style with lots of wood finishes and the issues associated with that. The doors to the bathrooms and bedrooms got stuck quite often, I assume from summer moisture build up and wood swelling. Some of the room door handles are in need of repair as they fell off a few times. The refrigerator did have quite a bit of food from the owners so it was a bit of an inconvenience when purchasing and trying to stash our own groceries. The gym was awesome to have onsite, but for a summer visit it did get hot in there so a fan would have been extremely helpful. To off set this, we just took our workout outside. The yard could have used some tending to as it would made you feel better about sitting on the front yard bench to watch the sunrise. There were plenty of dishes, utensils, cooking appliances, pots, bed linens and bath, though we brought our own. There was an open area on the top floor of the home where there was an inflatable bed to accommodate extra guest but it was located between the full bath and 2 bedrooms so privacy and a quiet sleep was challenging for this area. Also, this open area had the bed under a curtain-less window to the backyard (and the motion lights being set off by the nocturnal critters all night) and sat across from the huge picturesque windows overlooking the mountains. So at sunrise your sleep could be over, but you will have a great view! We had a family member on that bed and had to by a sleep mask to help them sleep through the early morning light. The plumbing in the house seemed to run a little bit longer and louder than one would like so if someone gets up to use the bathroom and flushed the toilet, everyone knew it. Overall this home wasn’t perfect but it certainly was not bad either! For a budget conscious family/group looking for a spacious and quiet location, this would be a good option to add to you list for selection.
