I booked the lake house for my family and I for the GA\Auburn game-weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. The house is older, but absolutely worth the price and the charm. It is phenomenal how close you are to the water. There is just about everything you need stocked in the house which is nice. The quality of the sheets are even very well thought thru. The host is very easy to get ahold of and super friendly. Parking is challenging as another guest has stated, so make sure to understand where to park above arrival. The comfort of the home is excellent. You truly feel as ease and can take a moment. The dock is so nice to walk down to and look over the lake and hang out on- and it is great to be able toWalk down to the water and the beach.

The deck wasn't very clean. Could easily have been blown off before we arrived. Lots of bird droppings on the deck and deck chairs. Cobwebs were everywhere. Router did not work at all. I spent at least several hours troubleshooting to no avail. It appeared to be quite old and I assume needed to be replaced. The front bathroom toilet runs constantly. So that needs to be addressed. We left a day early as a result.

Relaxing, Refreshing, Peaceful

My husband and I had such an amazing 9 days staying at John’s home on Lake Martin. The house was 5-Stars in every way. Clean, well stocked with essentials, and I loved that the light switches were labeled so we could easily find our way around. It was a few steps to the water where we sipped drinks while watching the sunset from the dock. The neighborhood was quiet and everyone we met was friendly. 10/10 recommend this for your next getaway. Thank you, John, for opening your home for us to enjoy. It was truly a pleasure.

We loved staying at Big View.

The house was quaint and cozy. John was a great host. All the amenities lots of outside seating. We used the firepit and bbq grill. My wife and I loved the room in the house and view was beautiful. The ideal lake house. Highly recommenend.

Beautiful property on the lake

Enjoyed our stay more than we expected after evacuating from hurricane Milton. The house is in a fantastic area and very comfortable. John, the property manager was prompt with responses and accommodating. Would rent again!

So so

House was clean inside but we had problems with the door locking when we would leave. Also shower in master bath would leak water onto hardwood floors. It looked liked the glass partition had never been sealed on bottom. Exterior of house had cobwebs in corners and very unsafe slag rock to walk from car to house at uneven angles. Not ideal for older(65+)

Great View - Well Appointed

Great Property! Great Host! This place has everything you need. Lovely decor, interesting art, and A+++ Kitchen! Comfortable Beds and pillows galore! We really enjoyed the wonderfully deep bathtub and HOT HOT water. 3 stars on cleaning because the couches were badly stained and the thick spider webs on the outside of the windows. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything you need

We will definitely stay here again. The owner is very timely in responses and cares about his guests. The house is well-equipped. Things we don’t consider until it’s not good but this place nailed it: fast WiFi, Water pressure and temperature are great, easy access in the water with steps, great appliances, Very comfortable beds. Good location by car to the dollar general and By boat the Chucks and Chimney Rock. Thank you!

Oh What A View

We stayed at Big Water View from June 26 - June 29, 2024. The lake house was very clean and had all the amenities anyone would need for their stay. The view from the back deck was the highlight of the stay. We spent much of our time on the deck drinking coffee in the morning and eating lunches and dinners. It was perfect to simply stare out at the lake and take your mind off of everything. The owner did a great job of communicating and was more than accommodating when we decided to add an additional day. This is a great lake house to spend a weekend or a week. We highly recommend this property.

Very nice property owner was super helpful and responsive and views and location were amazing. Parking can be a little tricky with more than 2 cars but doable. We had a great time. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Lake Front Home
