From the moment I entered the house, I felt a deep sense of comfort and warmth. Truly felt welcoming, lived-in home rather than just accommodation. What stood out immediately was the exceptional cleanliness and the thoughtful interior design, which transports you into a different space filled with creativity and integrity. Every corner tells a story. If I were to speak about my room, it truly offered a sense of comfort, ease, and gentle indulgence — exactly the kind of rest and care I had intended to experience when I took this break. The room felt calm, nurturing, and thoughtfully prepared, making it a perfect personal holiday. I personally value calmness, relaxation, and creativity in design, and this place reflected all of that beautifully. Every detail felt intentional, authentic, and harmonious. Sitting in the kitchen late at night, enjoying a cup of tea, was genuinely enough to make the experience feel complete and grounding. The breakfast experience was particularly special, as it truly reflected the spirit and personality of Paul and Michael. It was prepared with care, integrity, and attention to detail, making it feel meaningful I appreciate change and enjoy experiences that feel different from the standard hotel environment, while still maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, and hospitality. This stay offered exactly that balance, making it a truly unique and memorable experience.

This is a gem of a Bed and Breakfast that I am so happy to have discovered. It is run by two amazing gentlemen that pay so much attention to detail, it was hard to keep track of all they did for us. My adult son and I spent three days in Edinburgh and we stayed with Mike and Paul in their B&B. We had a very comfortable room, a bathroom attached and easy access to a shower downstairs as well. The house is amazing. It’s spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, mostly with Mike’s art. The breakfast is tailored, huge and very good. We had a lot of great conversations with the hosts and also got to meet some of their friends. Everyone is so friendly and thoughtful, I feel like making another trip to Edinburgh and staying at Crescent House soon.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Crescent House and from the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles and beautiful decor. Every room is spectacular with art from one of the owners, Micheal. The warm hospitality and communications from Paul and Micheal made us feel at home. Breakfast is a feast and lovingly prepared. The house is walking distance to the main attractions of Edinbough. We highly recommend the Crescent House to anyone seeking a beautiful, comfortable, luxurious home for your next stay.

It can’t be any better Wenn wir mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben könnten, wäre das hier der richtige Ort dafür. Mike & Paul sind wunderbare Gastgeber, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, versorgten uns mit jeder Menge Empfehlungen und Informationen und kümmerten sich mit sehr viel Hingabe um jeden Gast. Das Haus und die Zimmer sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das absolute Highlight ist das Buddha-Frühstück! Wir verraten nur, dass es superlecker ist. Findet selber heraus, was es genau ist und bucht ein Zimmer bei den beiden! Wir wären gern länger geblieben…

Jag och min vän rekommenderar detta boende varmt! Paul och Michael var utomordentliga välkomnande och vänliga värdar som tog hand om oss med mycket värme och uppmärksamhet på små detaljer. De fick hela vistelsen att kännas extra speciell för oss. Huset är otroligt vackert och trevligt att utforska och vårat rum var vacker, fräscht och välstädat. Vi sov gott i den sköna sängen och upplevde att det var väldigt väl ljudisolerat då vi aldrig hörde några ljud från de andra gästerna. Frukosten var en höjdpunkt varje dag men färsk och god mat och trevligt sällskap. Vi kommer absolut att bo här igen om vi får tillfälle att besöka Edingburgh igen! My friend and I highly recommend this accommodation! Paul and Michael were exceptionally welcoming and friendly hosts who looked after us with great warmth and attention to small details. They made the whole stay feel extra special for us. The house is incredibly beautiful and nice to explore and our room was beautiful, fresh and well-kept. We slept well in the comfortable bed and experienced that it was very well soundproofed as we never heard any noise from the other guests. Breakfast was a highlight every day with fresh and tasty food and nice company. We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to visit Edinburgh again!

Exquisite Georgian Home on Crescent with Park

All other reviews have lovingly described how special it is to stay at the gorgeous Crescent House with Paul and Michael. I absolutely agree and if you’re lucky enough to find an available room book it now! The opportunity to spend time with our hosts and share their Georgian home for a few days certainly elevated our experience in Edinburgh. I thank them for shaping these vacation memories that we’ll hold on to for a long while.

What a truly amazing stay at Crescent House! Paul and Michael knocked me out with their extraordinary hospitality, sumptuous breakfasts, and their fabulous art galleries. I could not have found a more spectacular setting, or more generous hosts. I will definitely return to my new home base in Edinburgh!

Paul and Michael are the most wonderful and outstanding hosts we have ever had. They made us feel at home, prepared a wonderful Bouddha breakfast every morning in their superbe kitchen, delighting us with a different decor every morning, many delicacies and engaging in very interesting conversation. They were very attentive to every detail and to our every need and always ready to give plenty of recommendations to enjoy our visit. The house is gorgeous, very stylish and displaying Michael’s very original and expressive paintings. The bedroom, being the smallest of the three in the house, was spacious enough, neat and stylish, very comfy bed, elegant and well equipped bathroom. The location is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to everything in town. We have come several times to Edinburgh and we can say without a doubt the Crescent House is definitely the best b&b in this lovely city. We would love to come back!

Gorgeous Georgian House

Great quiet location, but still very convenient to attractions. Immaculately restored Georgian house. Tastefully decorated with one of the owner's artwork. Michael and Paul are wonderful hosts, and recommend great local pubs and restaurants to visit. When we return to Edinburgh, we definitely plan to stay here again.

The best Guest House we have ever stayed in!

Quite simply the best Guest House we have ever stayed in! Paul and Mike are so nice and so eager to ensure you have a great stay, they leave no stone unturned. Firstly the property - beautifully renovated, in a popular area of Edinburgh, an easy 10min walk to Princess Street or St James's Quarter. The property in beautifully appointed, with so many quirky and interesting areas to look at and enjoy. The co-owner (Mike's) own Art decorates much of the wall space and it makes for a very personal, intimate and interesting environment. The guys have thought of everything, they really do want you to have an amazing stay. Everything you would expect is there and they have skimped on nothing, everything is top quality - the furnishings, the food, the décor, the finishings. The public space for relaxing is so nicely laid out, with beautiful art, lots of books, games, space to relax, music to listen to or even a free massage chair! (which I used!) If the property is amazing, the service is even better. It is so personal. From the messages prior to arrival to ensure they knew who we were and what we might need, to the welcome drinks & tour on arrival or the breakfasts, personalised to meet your tastes (I am veggie, my wife is pescetarian). I truly believe this place has everything you would want or need for a wonderful stay. I also believe that if anything was missing that one of the guys would do whatever they could to find whatever you needed. Our new favourite getaway!

Fabulous!

The hotel is beautifully presented inside and outside - candles and soft music greet you on arrival in the evening. The rooms are beautiful, with modern and spacious bathrooms and every need catered for. The breakfast is delicious and our hosts served all the drinks whilst we enjoyed the freshly prepared food in the large modern kitchen with amazing views. Cannot recommend highly enough to anyone visiting Edinburgh and looking for high end accommodation.

What a wonderful stay! We absolutely loved our time in Edinburgh and Crescent House was the perfect base for us. Paul & Michael were outstanding hosts who blew us away with their generous hospitality. They proved to be a wealth of local knowledge and were able to help us make the most of our limited time. Fabulous place to stay !!

An amazing stay. Absolutely beautiful house with a wonderful interior decor and welcoming atmosphere. You instantly feel at home and relaxed. Michael and Paul are so hospitable and friendly, they ensure all your needs are met and create such a personal touch. Breakfast is delicious and again they ensure any dietary requirements are catered for so you have everything you need. We had a short stay but it was perfect could not have asked for anything more except to stay longer !! The house is also in perfect walking distance to city centre and botanical gardens plus other facilities that you need when in Edinburgh.

This was our first stay in a guest house and it far exceeded our expectations. The house is spectacular. The interior design is exceptional. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable for our whole visit. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Paul and Mike. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast that was provided was delicious with so many choices and all very high quality. Paul and Mike are a wealth of knowledge about dining in and around the area, and gave us much guidance about how to get where we needed to go. They also provided us with help on sightseeing and local knowledge and were always happy just to chat with us in general and showed interest in who we were and what we were up to. Mikes art also gave us much to look at while wandering about the house. Not much around Edinburgh is out of walking distance. We will not hesitate to come back to enjoy their amazing hospitality again when we visit Edinburgh next. Thank you. Mark and Heather
