    Welcome ! Access via path. 6 steps up to independent Front Door. Now kick off boots, beach or golf shoes or golf clubs in the porch and proceed into the bright, large hallway.

    First left is the airy master bedroom with bedroom two just beyond. Both bedrooms are very spacious, with high cornices and rooms are tastefully furnished with super king size zip & link beds and black out curtains for a great night's sleep.
    Superb Central Heating System, Double Glazed Windows.

    Right of the hallway awaits a warm, Victorian period sitting room with fire and large bay window offering Firth of Forth sea views - Beautifully furnished & has three settees & large TV. A stunning crystal chandelier hangs from the original ceiling rose. The typical Scottish furnished room is completed with its Fraser Tartan wool blinds.

    Total potential sleeping facility for 5 people. We have 2 x Double Bed Settees and a Cot too.

    Yes - there's Wi-Fi too with Netflix !

    North Berwick West Links has become a firm favourite for Winter Golf too - especially from Scandinavia, Norway, Canada & Germany - and enjoys golfing visitors regularly from throughout Europe including Sweden, Denmark and Norway in particular. The apartment is ideal for golfers - perfectly located and equipped with new storage for golf equipment.

    North Berwick has a vibrant high street with numerous cafes and restaurants catering for every taste whether it be traditional fish and chips, Thai, Italian, Chinese or Indian.
    In North Berwick great food can be enjoyed at The Nether Abbey Hotel, just a stroll away - or try The Rocketeer, Steampunk Café, The Herringbone, Zitos, Osteria and The Lobster Shack and The No. 12 and Grange.
    In nearby Gullane (4 miles away) try:-
    Great traditional Scottish pub dining - Tom Kitchin's The Bonnie Badger and The Old Clubhouse

    Central Edinburgh is only a 35 minute car journey from North Berwick. Alternatively take a train leaving hourly from nearby North Berwick station to the centre of Edinburgh at Waverley station. Edinburgh too has great historic sites from The Castle to Hollyrood Palace at the foot of The Royal Mile. Edinburgh of course has some superb restaurants and great theatre, art, culture and museums. If staying in August try a visit to the Edinburgh festival.

    North Berwick also has its own festival by the sea in August just down from the apartment..

    Historical sites: Two 'must sees' are:- Tantallon Castle (built by 1st Earl of Douglass in 14th century) and Dirleton Castle (fortress built in 13th century).

    Walks: Yellow Craig to Gullane Beach, Pointgarry Beach to Westerdunes, West Bay Beach to Harbour; East (Milsey Bay) Beach to Daisy Island past the Armchair rock.

    Sea Trips: Take 'Sula' to and around the Bass Rock.

    More recently:- outside Dunbar, 14km away, Fox lake Adventures aims to provide a wake boarding lake with plans for mountain biking at a later date.

Easter Break

We had a wonderful Easter break staying in this super apartment. We were greeted personally on arrival and were delighted to find that the accommodation catered for our needs perfectly. A rare find both in terms of quality and location and we cant wait to return!

Lovely home

Comfort and elegance was overall impression Andrew and Gordon were so helpful and Everything for a guests comfort was provided. The situation was close to all amenities and everything on the one floor suited us very well.

Cozy well equipped apartment that felt just like home

Communications with Andrew prior to our arrival were first class. We had a friendly welcome to the property by Gordon who showed us around the apartment. The apartment was cozy and very clean. I don’t think I have stayed at a better equipped rental property. The property is located 2 minutes from North Berwick GC and is at the end of the town’s delightful high street. If you are coming to North Berwick this is the place to stay!

Ideal house with character

What a lovely house in a great location. Fixtures and fittings all high quality. Beds very comfortable and a very well equipped kitchen. It is a short walk from the beach and the high street with independent shops and restaurants.Andrew, the owner, is the most effective communicator we have had the pleasure to encounter. Also, his local manager and cleaning staff exceed expectations. They all did everything they could to make our 4 night stay a pleasure, including a day of red wind wandering. A lovely place to be in a ‘lockdown’.We would certainly recommend Fraser’s Marine Lodge.

Fantastic location - fantastic property - fantastic host

Fraser's Marine Lodge was the perfect place to stay for our short visit to North Berwick. The home itself is spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and included everything we needed for our stay. It is just steps from the beach, the golf course, and all the great restaurants and shops of High Street. Add to that the great views of the sea out the front windows, and there is nothing left to be desired.Andrew was a perfect host, and he took the time before and during our stay to make sure everything was perfect for us. It was. We also appreciated the personal "meet and greet" from his colleague, Gordon. We would love to visit North Berwick again soon, and hope that Fraser's Marine Lodge can be our home-away-from-home once more.

whimsical, magical trip

To say this was a fantastic, magical trip really doesn't do it justice. Andrew and Gordon, our hosts- were impeccable, helpful, professional and friendly. North Berwick is a history lovers paradise. The trains are easy to use and 5 min away from the property. The 'manor' is huge, spotless, has everything you could possibly need to cook, chill, watch a flick, or just have a cup of tea and read. We will be back! 10 out of 10

Wonderful central location within steps of beaches restaurants and grocery stores (golf too but not why we were there). Great walks along several holes on 2 different coursesThe house is a charming combination of coastal and traditional Scottish decor. It’s everything you need with all modern conveniences (washer dryer dishwasher large refrigerator with an ice maker and Netflix with TVS in every room including the kitchen!). If you are lucky with the weather which we were there is a lovely private back garden with a table and chairs to sit out and enjoy the sun. Some thoughtful gifts in the kitchen upon arrival. Andrew gave us many great restaurant recommendations we only tried 3 but each one was perfect. Gordon who is the local contact met us on check in and replied to our text quickly with a few questions we had. Highly recommended!

Two Wonderful Weeks in North Berwick

A wonderful home away from home. A blend of modern appliances and traditional architecture and furniture. Located perfectly at the edge of the main shops along High Street, so that everything was within walking distance. Andrew Hinds is the perfect landlord: Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. He helped at every step of our step: two years of full refunds when we could not make our trip, followed by excellent help in making this one work. He taught us how to use Whatsapp, gave us the links to the service staff and local transportation. Gordon gave us a thorough introduction to the house, and Lyndsey came by weekly to keep it clean.This was our seventh or so visit to N Berwick, but the first without a car or golf clubs. We just came to enjoy being there. The Sunday Times listed N Berwick as the most livable town in the UK, but we have considered it that for the past 40 years: our home away from home.

Location, location

GREAT location. Property better than advertised. Well appointed and comfortable. Easy parking. Beautiful high ceilings. We had an awesome visit to NB and Marine Lodge. We’ll return for sure!

Lovely property, in excellent conditions and with plenty of amenities. The location is close to the beach, golf course, shops and restaurants, all within a few minute’s walk. The rooms are spacious and the view out of the big bay window is endlessly changing. Edinburgh is also an easy train ride away, with the station close by. We stayed as a family of 5, and it worked well for us.

Great property

Just a short level walk to the centre of North Berwick. On the main road but no issue with road noise. Bath has low sides with rails and a non slip service so ideal for younger children or older members of your party. Car parking not the best (but we were warned before hand) but the seagulls took a great liking to my car for target practice. Comfortable beds and everything you need was there.

Short Break North Berwick

Loved this seaside apartment. Very spacious and well equipped. Comfortable beds and quiet at night. Location great for all the town has to offer. Owner could not have been more helpful, can’t think of anything else required in the apartment to make a stay more comfortable and inviting.

Great spot in wonderful quaint town

Fabulous property in premier location with all of the amenities. Owner and property manager were so kind and accommodating. Spacious rooms, new bathrooms, large lounge with TV/Music and fully equipped kitchen. A very comfortable spot to call home while on vacation. A+

Wonderful stay in cosy and comfortable house

We had a wonderful stay in front of the fire place, close to the beaches and to the high street cafes. We were four adults and a child. The appartement is clean, roomy, super comfortable beds, grand and spacious living room, well equiped kitchen, two bathrooms. Arriving by train from Edinburgh I was welcomed at the house, everything explained perfectly. I can't praise our stay enough, The entire booking process plus leaving our luggage at the property after the check-out time – everything was perfect.

Outstanding!

Great apartment in a terrific location. Easy access by train to all Edinburgh has to offer. Close to local points of interest (Scottish Seabird Centre, National Museum of Flight, etc.) and lots of restaurants and facilities. Apartment is spacious, well appointed and well maintained.

North Berwick is my favorite place in the world and this house only makes it better. It’s beautiful inside and out and filled with thoughtful touches. I stayed for a month and spent mornings writing, facing one of the front windows to look out at the sea. Afternoons were for exploring Edinburgh (25 minutes by train—5 min walk to the station) or for roaming around North Berwick. A fun High Street, some great galleries and shops (I bought 3 cute linen dresses!) and restaurants. Now I’m in Belfast, and when I look out my hotel window, all I can see is the view from the living room of the Marine Lodge. Andrew was a total pleasure to work with and made the whole thing really easy. I can’t wait to come back!

A Wonderful Week in North Berwick

We were a party of 4 adults age 50+. From the moment we made the booking until the day we left, everything went like clockwork. The owner was in regular contact with useful local information and advice between the time we booked until our arrival. The property didn't disappoint, either. The rooms are all spacious with high ceilings, the beds are very comfortable (very important to us), the wet room was lovely, and the kitchen facilities were all modern and what you would need for a week away. There were TV's in 4 of the rooms, but we chose to have a break from watching TV while we were there. The property location is excellent - just five minutes walk to the beach, the golf course, the shops, the nearest restaurant, and the nearest pub. It was also only 8-10 minutes walk to the railway station. Very well located, indeed. We enjoyed some nice day trips in the car, going south to Berwick-upon-Tweed, and then onward to Bamburgh where we enjoyed the beach and the castle. We also did a day trip into Edinburgh on the train which was really easy. The trains were prompt and pleasantly clean and tidy. Overall, a most enjoyable week in North Berwick for the four of us. We would definitely recommend the property, as well as the area. We'll probably be back next year.

very spacious high quality accommodation. THE HOST Andrew and his team were very welcoming and ensured our stay was very comfortable. They even provided a few essentials which was a very nice touch. Answering all questions very efficiently. Would definitely visit again. Location was perfect and a sea view . North Berwick is definitely worth a visit we came with 3 children 13, 7, and 6 and the children were able to play on the beach everyday . Location of the property is perfect.
