The host was friendly & comunicative. The house, for us, was in a good location because it was close to family & it did accommodate my family of six. But, it was not well maintained.
It definitely needs updates, especially the kitchen. And, majority of the house was dirty. The kitchen counter around the sink had food crumbs, stains, & several dead tiny bugs. Food was left in the refrigerator & freezer from previous guests. All the light switches had built on black grime. The bedspread in one room & the headboard in the master were full of pet hair. The blinds & ceiling fans had layers of dust. The master bathroom blinds were broken. Pillows had stains on the pillow protectors. The master closet was locked. The 2nd bedroom didn't have a dresser, I had to dust off a bench in the closet & remove the host's personal items to use for clothing. The backyard grass was not green as the photo depicts. It was dirt, patches of dead grass, & stickers. Listing states there are "2 bathrooms and one half", there is not a half bathroom. The laundry room had a terrible smell. The plumbing shakes when you turn on the water in the master shower. The "house manual" binder needs to be udated as well. It would have also been great to have a television in the living room instead of a dresser with a microwave. The bare minimum is done to this house. We would stay here again, if all the issues were were taken care of. Otherwise, I would rather stay where a host takes pride in their rental.
