Booked last minute after weeks of looking, we live in Panama City Beach and head for the hills when home fills up with spring breakers. We picked Ellijay not knowing much about the area but seemed to be a easy going mountain town with state parks, pretty views, and didn't know much else, but we fell in love with it.I picked the cabin, not really expecting too much, and was blown away. My criteria were basically any cabin with enough room not to trip over each other; a kitchen; a nice view; Dog friendly; and preferably some games/activities to do as a family.We got was all of that and way more. The fenced dog yard at a cabin is what made me book. We have two rottweilers we take everywhere so pet friendly is non-negotiable, but I had never found a cabin with a fenced yard. I didn't the yard would be near as big as the photos, and was floored to see it was bigger than the photos. The freedom to just let the dogs relax alone to sniff at the mountain air without having to constantly be on lead was my favorite luxury. Taking them for walks was a leisure, not just a chore. Every inch of the cabin seemed authentically like home. We barley even left to explore the town we enjoyed being so comfortable at the cabin. Between the view, the games, the hot tub, and the relaxing atmosphere we had to make ourselves leave to go explore. Wife, a teen, a "busy" toddler, two big dogs, and I had more room than we could use, and authentically got to enjoy each other. WILL ABSOLUTLEY BE BACK!
