“Unfortunately this was our first VRBO stay that was unsatisfactory. The check in process was confusing but fortunately we had a friend who spoke Spanish and could translate for us. The location was great but it was the only thing that was accurate about this property. We checked in on Monday night and hoped for a hot shower. There was no hot water. “Location was fantastic - a short walk to everything (short walk to the Guggenheim, Casco Viejo and the funicular, and all the restaurants and shops). Couldn't have asked for a better location. Host Begona was extremely responsive and helpful. Checking in was very easy - keys were available. Apartment was very clean and had everything that you would need (kitchen utensils, internet was fast). Parking was available and relatively nearby (200 metres away). “The apartment is large and clean and well appointed. Elevator access. Location is in a small square across the river from the old town. Not in the old town as indicated on the VRBO map. Just a few minutes walk across the old bridge to the church and the market. Limited parking in Bilbao. I used the train station - expensive, and dodgey. The immediate area up from San Fransisko street is a bit dodgey. Exercise caution when passing through this area.”
