“We arrived early aprox 9AM and the place was closed. It said that was open 24 hrs a day, but we waited until 11AM and nobody showed. At 11AM was check-out time, but still there was no one to be seen. One person was cleaning the bar, and we knocked on the window but did not answer. We had to go and get a room somewhere else. I would not recommend this place. It is not a true hotel or B&B. We stopped in the afternoon telling them of our cancellation and asking for our money back, but they said...

“Our weekend stay was so comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very peaceful and comfortable. Everything was spotless. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. Gluten Free is well catered for as is vegetarian. Lovely breakfast too. We Will definitely return.”

“The area was very convenient and had a lovely view of the river. Perfect for access to the city centre. The room itself was clean, just like the photos and they did a great service of the room as we stayed two nights. Although the area is convenient, be aware it does mean there's noise from traffic all night long. The parking situation was unclear when booking and lead to us receiving a parking ticket. And in our room in particular, the shower was almost unusable. ”

A really great outing for the senses: comfortable, beautiful presented old school house with an antique shop in the playground, good parking, superb village location, convenient for the whole of west Norfolk and close enough to major routes for the rest of the county / region. Bridget and Andrew are excellent hosts, the breakfast was wonderful, wi-fi strong, and decoration throughout is marvellous. Very good value stay - top quality shower!!
