“There are definitely some house issues that l see from other reviews that were still present during our stay. Not sure if they were communicated to Jennifer directly or just left in the review, but l addressed them in an email to her and she was very responsive so l hope they will be corrected for future renters. But these were just minor irritations compared to how wonderful this house was for our group. The location was great. Granted you would not walk to the slopes with all of your gear, etc...

“We traveled here with 6 adults and 3 children and had a wonderful time! The cottage is in a beautiful location and close enough to get to stores and restaurants. It’s incredibly clean, well-appointed and perfect for big groups. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed exploring outside and playing games with the kids. There are also lots of hiking options nearby. We were there for a wedding but we would definitely come back!”

“This year’s gathering of our ever growing tribe of children, grands and canine landed us as close to the Heavens as possible. This property was perfectly set up for sleeping arrangements, meal sharing, dog convenience and activities for all ages… the climbing wall was especially popular with our young gymnast and the free-standing video arcade was nostalgically fun for all ages. Of course, being March, the hot tub and sauna got used quite a bit too. The ultimate lure of this property...

“Stayed with my husband, best friend and her husband and mother. Celebrating two birthdays! The house and views were beautiful! Very clean and comfortable. We also walked the neighborhood, which was just as pleasant. Would definitely book this home again!”

“This was our second time to stay at this farm house. Anyone who is interested in farming, animals, American history or just wants a pleasant, pretty place to stay should book this property. My daughter was able to help milk the goats. My husband and I enjoyed the hike on the property to the fishing pond. We all enjoyed waking up to the sounds and sights of life on a farm. The hosts take extra care to meet all of your needs- highly recommend.”

“Abbey's place worked well for our graduation stay. It is an older property with beautiful solid wood furniture and a comfy feel in a quiet neighborhood about 1.5 miles from UVA. All the amenities are as noted in the listing. The beds were comfortable (not too soft) and the kitchen had everything we needed. Abbey's instructions were clear and she was very responsive when I had trouble logging onto the wifi. There is room to park 2 cars off the street to the left of the house, and with a car UVA...

“Needed a place for family to gather for UVA graduation weekend. The house was a 30 minute easy drive to campus grounds. Also very short drive to Staunton restaurants and great proximity to Afton mountain vineyards. Easy check in, WiFi, ample parking (grass). Enjoyed our stay.”

“It truly is a quaint farmhouse. Very comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. The space worked well for us. We did have an issue, and the property owner responded within minutes, was responsive and followed up.”

“The house was great, the beds were very comfortable and its location was perfect for access to the grounds, downtown, and the athletic complex! Only suggestions- would have loved some furniture to sit outside and the living room love seats were not comfortable nor adequate for 5 guests to hangout together. ”

“My sister, cousin, and I wanted to treat my mom to a girls weekend visiting wineries in Charlottesville for her 70th birthday. This was the absolute perfect place to stay! So close to many great wineries, and we had a blast at the end of the day chilling in this gorgeous space with Crozet pizza, watching chick flicks on the big screen, and wrapping it all up with a cozy evening in the hot tub! Location is super easy to get to and check in was a breeze!”
