  • Whether viewing the aurora, dog mushing or panning for gold, you'll enjoy your experiences in this wonderful little town called the Golden Heart City in style. Located in central downtown Fairbanks, Alaska, close to the banks of the Chena River, this beautiful penthouse sits above the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (the local newspaper) offering a panoramic view of the city and surrounding areas. The modern, spacious kitchen is a cooks dream, leading to the dining room which opens to a welcoming, warm living room. All bedrooms are amply sized with plenty of closet space, sleeping six comfortably. A central location, close to most amenities and adventures makes this the perfect spot to stay while enjoying your interior Alaska visit. The Address is 200 N. Cushman St. Fairbanks, Alaska 99701.

Tons of room. Property was as listed and better. Really liked the privacy and location. Extremely quite and relaxing. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again if returning to Fairbanks.

Fairbanks Penthouse for the Working guys

This Penthouse was perfect to two guys in town to work. Lots of room, separate rooms and baths. Great location to town, restaurants and a bakery. We really enjoyed the Media room for watching TV. We will stay again when working in Fairbanks.

Great visit

This property was very accommodating, clean and a great location. It was such a unique property. Loved all the windows and comfortable areas to hang out. If I return to Fairbanks, I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Stay!

This was our second stay at the property and it was just as great as the first! Spacious, clean, and with a warm environment. Tenare was a great host for us and even had a “welcome” sign for us when we came. This place is a gem!

Unique stay

The penthouse over the newspaper building is an interesting and novel accommodation with plenty of room and a spacious kitchen for preparing meals. It is close to downtown Fairbanks and the property manager was easy to work with.

Perfect place for us

We wanted a place that we could have our grandson age 3 visit us overnight and not feel cramped. Also a place that I could make a great meal or several for my family while visiting. Although most of our stay was just my husband and I the home over and exceeded our expectations for everything we wanted and needed. The kitchen is amazing to cook in with all the room and counter space. Perfect location, great views, exceptional instruction for check in and the communication with the host was top notch and extremely fast and easy.

Wonderful place to stay

Great place to stay, great location, very well stocked. Had everything we needed. The elevator was a nice extra touch. Any time I had a question the host responded very quickly. We were even able to see the northern lights faintly from the balcony.

Bucket list trip

Home was perfect. We used as base to visit everything we could see in Fairbanks. Including Arctic circle. 2 couples and not a bit crowded. Almost to luxurious. Great memories.

Even though we were city center the location was very quiet!!

Unique property and convient to all things Fairbanks!! Chena River walk is perfect for fresh air, scenery and exercise. Very spacious rooms. Handicapped accessible with a great master bath. Easy and prompt communication with property manager!!

First VRBO stay

We decided to try the VRBO route for the first time vs staying at the typical hotel (typically stay at a holiday inn or Hampton inn or embassy suites). This property we really enjoyed. It is about the same cost as a hotel but the space and privacy made it worth it. The host was quick to respond when we needed an extra day. The space was huge for our party of four. It was well kept up. Parking and directions on the whole process was easy. Plain and simple if I ever come back to Fairbanks this is where I would stay hands down. Don’t hesitate.

We'll be back.

The Executive Suite is located two blocks from downtown Fairbanks near the river walk. We were visiting our children and grandchildren who live in Fairbanks, so this was our get away and place for entertaining family and old Fairbanks friends. It’s very spacious, with a large living room, dining room, den/library, fully equipped kitchen, and a deck. It is essentially a large home. The check-in instructions were clear with dedicated parking next to the front door. The property was spotless upon arrival with lots of clean linens and towels. The very large, well-stocked kitchen was immaculate. We slept comfortably in the king bed and the den/library was perfect for unwinding at the end of the day with a large TV and plenty of comfortable chairs. Our grandchildren loved it. The internet connection was good and served our purposes. The over-sized walk-in shower was a standout and our shower-adverse grandchildren wanted to shower every day when they visited. The Executive Suite is a gem for those looking to escape the confines of a small hotel room. We especially enjoyed the extra room, the kitchen, library and having a washer and dryer. We took our constitutional walks each day on the nearby riverwalk. We’ve stayed in hotels in past visits so we were very pleased to be able to entertain and relax in this very spacious, clean property. We'll be back and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
