We loved our time at this property! The cabin was very clean and cozy. This was a surprise trip for my husband for our fourth marriage anniversary, and the host helped me, even writing “surprise ‘husband’s name’” on the sign by the front door. All of the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay were included, and the host communicated SO well. The only negative, which isn’t really a negative, is that the tv basically doesn’t work - but you’re on the mountain to enjoy the pond, fire pit, peace and quiet, so that should really be a non-issue. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely plan to visit again in the future.

What a nice Hidden Gem and we could not have been happier with our stay. Laura went above and beyond to help us with changing the dates of our stay due to the weather and to be so kind to allow us was not something a lot of hosts are willing to do. Best part for hubby was by far the fishing. He went out and bought "secret weapons" for the bass and caught quite a few. The cabin is so homey and comfortabl, but for the life of us we could not get the fireplace to work. Just a blip in an otherwise wonderful stay. My only suggestion would be to install an elevator to that loft area. Lol. If you have stayed here, ya'll know what I mean. Older people need not apply, cause wow!!! That area is definitely for the young.. Recommendations: Buy everything you are going to need for your stay before you arrive and settle in. Lovely sunsets and awesome little fire pit to finish out the evening. MT.Airy is only about a 30 minute drive and it was wonderful to come back and sit on the covered porch and watch the geese. You can tell Laura loves this place from her heart because she truly cares about the details. From a small sign welcoming us, to a large binder filled with what to do and where to go, to an actual suggestion box on how she can improve your stay!!Cons: Hot tub. It really needs to be cleaned. It had a rather SUS ring all the way around it and we really did not want to use it. Cleaning the fire pit should be a monthly process. Just to be safe.Verdict: We will go

Check in was easy. The cabin was comfortable. The hot tub was not able to get above lukewarm. I would recommend getting rid of the rug in front of the kitchen sink because it’s a slipping hazard. Otherwise, everything was amazing.

Lovely cabin in a peaceful setting. Great place to relax and watch the deer. A stones throw from the Blue ridge parkway. Hot tub is great after a day of hiking, and the fireplace was cozy on our one rainy day. Would definitely return. Super dog friendly too.

My sister and I came with our teenagers for a little family getaway and had the best time! The cabin is cozy and was fully stocked with everything we needed.
