“This was a great cabin property that is walking distance from a winery - but was for me even greater for allowing quick access to Ohiopyle (hiking) and Morgantown (WVU graduation weekend at a very affordable rate). The cabin was clean and well-maintained, the decks were very nice for enjoying the peaceful creek below. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the home felt very safe - I’d definitely stay again in the future. ”

“Last minute trip to get away for some weekend fun. Weather was cold and rainy, and I spent an evening in the hospital after getting knocked out whitewater rafting. Not my idea of fun. However, the cabin, ambience, hospitality, and friendly community made this one of my favorites of all time. My bird dogs also had the time of their lives!!!”

“We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and relaxing property. It is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were so kind, very accommodating and answered any question we had. We could have sat on the porch and watched the river for hours! Would absolutely recommend this property 100%. It is only about 30 mins from Morgantown so it is great for anyone visiting a student at WVU but wanting a place to wind down and have calm and quiet. ”

“From the moment we pulled in the driveway, Chet made us feel right at home. The house is very clean. The hosts pay close attention to detail to make their guests comfortable. Great communication throughout our stay. Convenient location near the turnpike, but it is in a secluded area allowing peace and quiet. Will certainly stay again!”

“This property was overall good. It had an updated kitchen, a private hot tub and a new tub. Beds were comfy, TVs had plenty of entertainment and appliance overall cleanness was good. However the cleanliness of the home was hit and miss. Some areas were pretty spotless like the bathroom, while other areas like the pull out couch were full of crumbs. “A long weekend in the woods is my prescription for stress relief. The Whiskey Rock property is just right for a couple or small family group and the amenities are as described. Our weekend weather wasn't the best but it really didn't matter. Though we're Pennsylvania natives, neither of us had seen a ruffed grouse (state bird) in the wild until this stay. ”

“This cabin was just as advertised. The road in is a bit steep, but the property itself is absolutely gorgeous, remote, and private - just what i was looking for. Despite the sense of isolation, food and basic necessities for a short stay are only a few miles away. Wifi connectivity was excellent, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the fire place made for a perfect rustic feel. My favorite part of my stay was the nearby ponds on the property and the chorus of wood frogs and spring peepers...

“My family loved the history and charm of Victorian Orchard. We we so pleasantly surprised that the house was decorated for the holidays complete with a decorated tree and Christmas music playing! We even had a white Christmas as it snowed the first few days we were there. We had plenty of room for all the family who planned to stay. We hiked, visited Ft. Necessity and Braddocks grave, Kentuck Knob, Cucumber Falls and other beautiful vistas in Ohiopyle. Was a perfect Christmas! ”

“The apartment had an unusual layout with a tiny kitchen and the table area down the hall. Two of my brothers and I were in the area for a funeral. We had plenty of space and individual privacy. The description said that there was a bed in the common area, so I booked it for 3 adults. The host informed me that there was not a bed but provided a blowup mattress. When the mattress did not hold air, she immediately provided a new one. The host was very responsive. ”
